A CLASSIC CWL SERIES, REVISITED- THE PREMISE:
One of my first successful and popular series on TH-cam was The Forbidden 🚫 Foods Experiment. So many resources tell us conflicting information on what can and cannot or should/should not be given to our worms.
My personal opinion is that if we make composting sound like it has too many rules, we are cutting down on likely “converts” to the hobby. I aim to show that in moderation (as with all things in life) it’s pretty hard to cause any harm, regardless of what you feed.

I have added old formula to my dry mix, red worms seemed to like it. That said I still fed them normally so interested to see how they do with the peppers. I am glad I found you when I started my worms, I have given them so many things that people say are a no-no without any problems!
Elizabeth Kudlesky that’s my goal! Make the hobby more accessible and less overwhelming but showing that most foods if fed in moderation are completely safe. Thanks for watching a commenting!

I'm pretty sure the worms will like the milk. I've actually added small amounts of leftover oats with milk to my big bins but not a large quantity and never indoors.
I'd be worried about the potential smell you might get from it.
I guess we'll all find out soon enough :)

Hello I have taken worms from a large heap of horses manure I was wondering are they red wigglers or European worms I live in Ireland I used the horse manure I found them in as there bedding ..I would welcome any advice you could give me I'm just starting out..thanks best wishes for Christmas for you and your loved ones from Ireland ⚘🇮🇪⚘

Melinda Schneider very good point. They probably just eat what is available and I doubt they are picky.
Birds don't react to capsaicin the way mammals do, so they eat chilies and then spread the seeds through their excrement. Most likely worms don't react to capsaicin cos they're not mammals either.

Scott Shrum absolutely. Cut out the windows from junk mail though or you will have to pick out the plastic layer.

I have not. I don't really have any cactus available to me but I like the way you think.
