You use "invade" when talked about German aggression. And when describe Japan's invasion, you use "war between China and Japan“ . And that is the only 5 sec that mentioned China. China suffered 20 mil casualty and consumed major part of Japan ground force. Their contribution should be remembered.

A important, but young and unexperienced (see below, old and experienced where shot almost all in 1938), he did command something like a "Aircraft Corps", he lost 380 of 460 aircraft, most on the ground (most soviet aircraft lost in the first war weeks were destroyed on the ground, also many offensive ground weapons were destroyed staying in their camps, which led to a "Neo"-Nazi theory that Stalin wanted to invade Western Europe, I know he had plans for 1942, but for a bit expansion and I think not for a full scale war with Axis and many allies which would have joined the fight in such a case... it was simply the most important front, the Commander who lost 380 from 460 aircraft shot himself, this is sick shit, I do not know of Nazi commanders who shot their self because they lost a major weapon or like here lost most/all units even without a fight but by air raids or the crews themself blowing up tanks because of gasoline shortage... anyway at the start the airplanes were obsolete, the Seaguls could almost only use their small size and in most cases try to escape and fly maneuvres possible with their small size and the lower speed, the other Il-16 own new models and again very much US aircraft did help out, we will never see a war like this again, UAV's, "modern warfare", future armies won't have/need a million or more soldiers^^ unmanned air vehicles, next remote controlled trucks/tanks... also we need again a scenario with countries having not much to lose by a war... Soviet was without Allied help as mobile as North Korean population today^^ Less than 100 diesel-electric trains build by the Soviet Union during 1941-1945! Alone the US build over 3,000 and gave them in the first months to the Soviets, with over 10,000 waggons, but also the old soviet waggons could be used, only the coal/wood-propelled trains were taken out, the US did even build this on the order from Roosevelt in Soviet gauge, this was a large problem for Nazis too, they had to stop at the old borders and unload everything, load it into other vehicles with soviet gauge, and they needed trains for this soviet gauge, but they captured enough, but they had to use coal...... US/Allies knew about these problems and together with oil and diesel via Persia from UK, ten thousands trucks were delivered, some were used as self-propelled rocket launcher systems, but most simply for supply, without that the soviet army was dangerous weak mobile, not a single APC model I know, soldiers always carried by tanks (sometimes like 12-15 men on a tank?! complete unprotected, but Stalin did not care about humans, so I guess he did not allow a APC only to protect human lifes), but most were for urgently needed supply for a state with around 22 million square kilometers, not much troops there, but a minimum was needed there too... bad infrastructure and de facto all known oil in the small caucasus area, Maikop was lost (and soviets put fire on the oil wells like Saddam later) even with extreme Allied help, most important Baku was blocked since Don and Volga rivers were blocked because of fightings in caucasus and Stalino/Stalingrad-area... you can transport something from the caspian sea to the baltic sea, crossing Moscow, Sankt Petersburg/Leningrad and very much other cities...6 months no oil from Baku for every engine north of stalingrad, also Stalingrad had very large oil tanks, they were destroyed in the air raids by the Luftwaffe, Today Russians always play down the allied role of the lend and lease... but if Japan or European Axis Powers would have get such a support than..... but its the best end for Germans and the "winners" from East Europe and later puppets of Stalin in the Warsaw Pact were "winners" living the 45 years after this war like the losers...

Their main mistake was not seizing the oil fields on the Caucasus. It wasnt an intentional mistake, they tried their best to take it, but not taking that piece of territory lost them the war plain and simple. They just didnt have the oil for another big offensive.

My great grandfathers all fought for the Japanese empire but were forced to conscript as they were Korean. Three out of my 4 great grandfathers died fighting for Korea. XGaming Romania The Hungarians put up a decent defensive in 1944 and actually remained loyal to the axis against Bolshevism. I’m sure many Romanians at the time wished they destroyed the Soviets instead of being slaves to them.

I don't know if you'll ever see this comment but I just want to thank you for being such a great youtuber. My great grandfathers all fought for the Japanese empire but were forced to conscript as they were Korean. Three out of my 4 great grandfathers died fighting for Korea. They all fought bravely and I think you portrayed it beautifully in this video. The music, the footage and the speeches just enhance your respect for the video and the soldiers. Just thank you... 😊
