I absolutely adore that transition from upper rast to nahwand, it has such a specific qualitative difference that kind reminds me of the feeling of resolving to i6 or I6 in jazz music. Good stuff!
I've been trying to learn maqam for a while now, and this is by far the best resource I've found. Sami, you should write a book, explaining everything as you have with the colour-coded diagrams, and publish it on amazon.

It will be the culmination of the first "unit" of lessons in this series, showing the big picture of Maqam Rast. So if you haven't yet I suggest you also check out the Maqam Suznak video (episode 9) and the other jins videos.
