Fantastic build Thomas! Watching you build this car reminds me of how challenging it is to lay down all of the water slide decals, it took a lot of courage to open up the box and start the project, not sure if I would want to build it again lol. Btw I really like the soft piano music in the back ground, very very relaxing👍
Thanks so much for watching Jun, I'm glad you liked it. You're right about needing a lot of courage - I got this kit for Christmas 2020 and it took nearly all 2021 to start! I really appreciate the comment, thanks!
Thank you for being so detailed and your calm demeanor. The hood number error you mentioned helps me to see that although sometimes there are mistakes, you can always find a solution if you are creative and patient. Without telling us, I doubt many would have noticed it.
You're welcome Alex and thank you also. I feel that we all make mistakes and if I can find solutions to mine, maybe I can help someone with my methods? Thanks for watching
Really appreciate your build videos. I'm not a fan of box openings or "show and tell" style channels. I enjoy seeing how you do things so I can watch and learn.
Thanks a lot - my main reason for doing this channel was to help people in the same way I had got so much help from others' channels. I'm glad you like them!
Thanks mate - I'm sure you're up to it! What I'd advise is to make sure you stop before getting too tired as I know my mistakes were made when I should have stopped for the night! 😅
Thanks so much, Gus. I was happy with how the printing went - I actually tore a Castrol decal on my old Celica build so I might go back and fix it too!
Great work Thomas, this Supra build series will definitely be of help to someone building the kit with all your explanations. I wish to build this someday so I'll definitely go through your videos again when that happens. I fully agree with you about Tom's being happy with the 36 number! I am right now building the JTCC Corona and my friend built the Hasegawa Fujitsu Corolla and both have 36 numbers. We did an online search and found many Toyota's with 36! Well done, another great build from you.
Many thanks - I hope it does come in handy! I really tried to find out why they like 36 but I couldn't find it anywhere! Maybe I need to find a Japanese expert to ask!!
Thanks for the videos Thomas. The model looks superb but I would never build it as the waterslide transfers would drive me mad. ( Having said that, I much prefer waterslide transfers to self-adhesive film ones).
Got this kit as my very first built😂 I thought about using soapy water to lay down the decals. Do you think that'll work out? I painted the body today with basecoat and 2k automotiv clearcoat.
@@flipflop7577 glad that my video inspired you! I've never heard of soapy water being used but I do think that some people use a bit of vinegar in water. I would do some research before trying any of these though! Best of luck!
I can't find foam safe glue on Amazon for Europe (searched for German one). Most of them that I find have a note that they are not suitable for plastic or they are not on Amazon Prime (last detail is optional).

She turned out Really Nice Thomas!!! Well Done!!!!
Cheers Mike, thanks a lot
Beautiful build Thomas.... 👍👍👍
Many thanks, Tim 👍

Gorgeous car Thomas, can tell you've worked incredibly hard on this one!
Thank you very much - yes, it took most of the Christmas holidays!

Calm piano music in the background is nice touch! And your VO on the video makes it perfect :)
Very kind words, thank you my friend!
Turned out great. Nice work sir.
Many thanks, Spencer 😁
Great job mate, as always!!
Thanks so much, mate
What a beautiful build, you've done a great job on this and I think I'll definitely have to grab it now, it'll sure put my decal work to the test.
Thanks mate - I'm sure you're up to it! What I'd advise is to make sure you stop before getting too tired as I know my mistakes were made when I should have stopped for the night! 😅
@@BOABModels I might spice things up and give it a go after a few pints one Friday night 😂 (I wouldn't do that. Decals are hard enough as is 😅)
Haha! You'd be testing your hair out the next morning!!
Well done Thomas!
Cheers! It took a lot longer than I thought.
Excellent work. Love how you did the tires. The decals look wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot, Michael. The tyres and wheels were easier than I expected.
Great take on this Gran Turismo icon! Decals are always a challenge, good thing you manage to print the missing letters
Thanks so much, Gus. I was happy with how the printing went - I actually tore a Castrol decal on my old Celica build so I might go back and fix it too!
Very good result Thomas! Possibly your best build yet, keep up the good work!
Thanks so much, Paul. Not sure it's my best, but I certainly think my standards are higher
Very nice Thomas!
Thanks a lot Simon 😁
Excellent build Thomas and great attention to detail as always brother!
Many thanks, Shawn
Much appreciated!
Such a beautiful car, great work, there was so many little details on the car and you still did every single detail, good!
Thank you very much! Yeah, I like to share what is possible with these kind of builds
Such a beautiful race car and model :>
Always loved the Castrol liveries
Thank you very much - me too!

Great work Thomas, stunning job, I apply a gloss or semi gloss clear over the tyre decals, just to give them a bit of protection.
Thanks so much, Sarah Jane. Yeah, I did that for the stenciled Goodyear markings on the FW16 - maybe I should do it for ones like these too
@@BOABModels if you apply a clear cote of matt, gloss etc on sidewalls I apply to all sidewalls to keep it uniform looking not just the decals.
Makes a lot of sense!
Thanks for the videos Thomas. The model looks superb but I would never build it as the waterslide transfers would drive me mad. ( Having said that, I much prefer waterslide transfers to self-adhesive film ones).
Haha yes, these were a lot of work. I had it for a year before I decided to build it. Many thanks!

Aand I bought it because of your short video with the GT background music😂😂✌️

Not sure I would have the steady hand to do the smaller wheel decals.
Haha - I mainly wanted to make sure I didn't lose any of them and find them on my finger tips later on!
Do you hand paint the body aswell and what’s the best way to get a nice finish on it without it being all streaky ?
No I use Tamiya spray cans - usually 3 coats after a couple of coats of their primer. Start with a light coat then get heavier.

Try looking for Bob Smith Super Gold + as that's foam safe. The brand I use is from my local hobby shop so won't be on Amazon.
@@BOABModels I checked Amazon Germany but they only BSI glues I find do not say "foam safe" and they cost 66-104 euros. LOL
Woah! Well, the Super Gold + is foam safe as Tom from the Scale Modelling channel uses it. Maybe look on eBay?
