- The legendary Lancia Delta will forever be one of the hallmarks of HillClimb Racing and through the years we have featured some of the very best units based on the iconic Italian Hatchback. Both in Integrale form, Group B S4 guise or going even stranger with some engine swap and layout modifications making one scratch his head, these are the 12 units we reserve for now to the pantheon:

Absolutely right choices but when it comes to Delta,the holy trinity that got me into hillclimb among this wild bunch are Pailer’s and Giuliani’s Integrale units and Ianiello’s S4.
The most decorated ones in the last 2 decades in Europe for sure...

These wastegate sounds during deceleration…. EVs will never give us that.

@@HillClimbMonsters Common misconception. That sound on deceleration is actually backed up boost pressure escaping through the turbo compressor wheel when the throttle plate is suddenly closed, because it then has nowhere else to go. Wastegates only open on acceleration once the maximum set boost is approached, which may at most affect the exhaust note.
EVs will never be as fun as those good old classics like the Delta.
@johnmcmullen456 these are blow off valves, not wastegates.
@@TheWholeGrainBread_RealThe sound of the backed up boost pressure escaping either through a blow off valve or through the turbo's compressor if no blow off valve used is very similar. Most turbo cars competing in hillclimbs and rally events don't use a blow off valve, believing it causes slightly more turbo lag. I run one on my street car since it's supposed to cause less wear on the turbo.

so does Lancia produce cars specifically for this kind of sport or are these all modded vehicles? or is it a bit of both maybe?
All old modes (from 1984 to 1994)...obviously modified/modded. No more sports car from Lancia.
When was lasupra last out I haven't seen a video of it in a while is there a reason?
It was sold in 2019. It´s in France right now. Did some testing but never raced again... we´ll see what the future holds..

LaSupra ist schon echt abnormal und hat in dieser Liste eigentlich nichts verloren. Die Ikonen bis zur Lächerlichkeit zerschnitten und entstellt. Norbert hat sich da noch echt zusammengerissen und sehr lange die reine Gr.A genutzt, was meinen größten Respekt zollt. Es macht doch überhaupt keinen Sinn einen integrale Evo herzunehmen, wenn man den sowieso bis zur unkenntlichkeit verbaut. Dann kann man auch deutlich günstigere und fortgeschrittenere Fahrzeuge nehmen. Der integrale lebt von der Geschichte und der unvergleichlichen Formensprache. Ich wenn ich mich an die 90er und frühen 2000er erinnere war vieles noch besser, die Fahrzeuge ehrlicher. DTM Renner mit 2,5er16V, integrale Evo Gr.A in reinform, etc. Ein Glück bin ich alt genug um nicht nur auf Spektakel reinzufallen, sondern auch Authentizität zu schätzen.
