How to remove and wire the distributor on a Range Rover - VOTD

In this video I removed a distributor from a 1995 Land Range Rover. This process is likely the same for other Range Rover vehicles from 1987 through 1995. Also applies to some Jaguars

Robert, I think I've maybe commented on a video less than a dozen times ever. I wanted to thank you for your posting of this DIY on the 95 range rover. I bought new cap/rotor, plugs and wires and only had the diagrams found online for my 95 RR 3.9. Come to find out all the diagrams from all the rover sites and elsewhere show #1 to the immediate right of that bottom clip, rather than #8, then #1 and so on... Shifted all the wires 1 to the right, and she fired right up and running nicely! I wish I found your video 2 hours ago, hahaha! Thanks again, great work with your videos!

BTW there's a good tool for that hard to get to 9/16" nut, bent just right to get around the distributor body. Or a crows foot socket with 3/8 th drive helped me. Keep learning old mate, Cheers from Aussie

The engine in the Rover was originally a Buick 215 and Classic was in production from the 60s - lots of SAE hardware in there! That nut is likely a 9/16".
