Aww shucks, you beat me to it! I just uploaded a quick and dirty unboxing from my hotel room at Mining Disrupt. The internet connection is terrible here :( takes forever to post videos
Love you bro-ski
Hotel unboxing 🍆? Oh babyyy @GreaterGoodMining

@@RedPandaMining lmao! That type of content is on my O.F. account :-0
The Iceriver KS0 Ultra runs so hot, you could fry an egg on it for breakfast! Seriously, this thing's heat output is so impressive, it doubles as a kitchen appliance. Forget your stove, just grab your Iceriver and cook up a full breakfast. Eggs, bacon, pancakes-you name it, this beast can handle it!
Oh wow.
Are you running additional fans or just stock?
I have a few ulttras and they all run at 47C with a top fan and internal set to 85%
@@Shmedsp That is a huge difference, are you running AC finity fans?
@@LiveFree-ij3hn No, i am running a 120mm NewHail Quiet 120mm USB Fan Dual-Ball. Facing down......since i first messaged you i have taken the top fan off, 5 mins hashrate 414 GH/s, spiked up from 280...
Hello I'm Thinking of Purchasing Ice River KS5L Hosting Plan on Their Official Website, Should I Go With It Please Explain Briefly or Make a Video on It.
I think it is great. Picked one up in the June batch and another for the July (with the lower price and coupon code). I started getting into Kaspa back in April and scrambled to grab a used overclocked KS0 in late April for $400 and was essentially able to jump models and come in at $300-400 a unit. It's rough that the network hashrate keeps going up and will likely double / triple in the next couple months but I guess thats all part of the game. The one thing that I have been very happy about is how amazing this network is. Really hoping that Kaspa gets the adoption it deserves and the world gets to take advantage of it. Thanks for creating all the great content! I never would have gotten into mining without resources like you on you tube.
Great review, but can you check if the PSU plug has changed or it was like before on all models? 5.5-2.5mm
Is it possible to mine other coins or is the GUI limited to KAS only? That would let me know if it’s worth buying or not. Just for KAS, probably not.
I want one or two of them, but I'm worried about the tariffs. Is there a tariff coming from Iceriver? I'm in the US. Do they inform you the full price when ordering?
How long was the wait on shipping? I’m really considering buying like 5 or 15 of them and making a tunnel vent system to stick them into
Great video, thanks. How much Kaspa does it mine per day?
Just bought one but is it possible to underclock for Lower temps and if so how simply?
Is it a better space heater than the Pro version?
Nice video, I just received 1 KS0 ultra last night and its mining. I got another 2 in July batch. I only get 350-380 hashrate don’t know why?
If your a new comer to crypto mining and a home miner it's a ideal buy especially at that price .I love my KSO and KSO pro's .do you reckon psfarmer or tswift will do .OC firmware for the KSO ultra
Thank you for the content. I'm looking forward to seeing how these hold up. It's good to see the setup is the same as the previous miners.
I just opened mines as of yesterday , and I want to know if the Pbfarmer work on this unit?
I got mine how do I see it hashing in the dash board
I think it is a great little miner to buy, got 8 for myself, 2 delivered today. This miners are my entry into crypto mining with my solar power installation.
This new price point has me interested.. where is iceriver located do you have to pay tarrifs to usa?
I like the Ultras for their value to hash ratio. I was thinking about getting a Goldshell KA Box but now I am more inclined towards ordering 4 of these. Thanks Red Panda.
Did you try external Fan? I did, After them the hashrate Fall down to 330-350. i think it Need to be hot. Whats Your experiance?
Hi,
my ULTRA arrived today, but only manages a maximum of 260GH/s (without modifications). It fluctuates between 190 and 260. Normally it should fluctuate around 400GH/s.
Do you have any idea where the problem could lie? The Iceriver support has unfortunately not yet responded.
Many thanks and best regards from Hamburg/Germany,
Stefan.
I love it. Thank you for the review. Appreciate it man !!
The ultra looks good to me, good price and good roi
Bought two. Hoping i won't regret it. Seen a lot of negative feedback on the ultras so far like low hashrate, connectivity issues and the like. Mine are only running at 320 GH/s after 12 hours. My OG V1 KS0s are all at 200 GH with pbfarmers and no issue
If your at 320gh/s is because your running them too cool. Let them get warmer/hotter and the hash rate goes up....Its crazy actually.
@@RainBitcoins well aware. Seems like these literally have to be too hot to touch to get them hashing. Can't be good for longevity of these units.
@@RainBitcoinsI was actually gonna say I bought one to waiting but it’s possible to ubderlcok for lower temps?
Bought two, playing with new firmware from nswift (500+ghs), air mods and running fine.
Combined with solar panels it's a excellent mining hobby
My KS0 Ultra came in yesterday and with the coupon I'm going to buy one more since it will be half the price. At current prices it may not pay for itself but hopefully it will go up and I can ROI.
When did you order?
I get mine tomorrow! But when are my other 5 coming is the real question! Also is it overclockable?
Pro ultra is out now is it not? Is it worth it?
@RedPandaMining awesome content, as for home cheap, very low wattage miners i think its always best to no matter want, and also buy the coin because low wattage miners you can run them until they die and they will payback way more than it cost, for me loving in the US i only paid $282 with your discount code to my door, no import fees its too cheap for that.
I can't wait until the Ks0 pro ultra comes out.
Ks0 pro max please
KS0 pro ultra max super duper turbo........😂
Would you still recommend buying Kaspa instead of mining it if the price went to $.36 tomorrow? I am wondering if that changes your answer. I bought 3 of these so that's my opinion.
Had some issues, 2 miners is showing 360 gh/s atm. I actually bought another when the price dropped. Waiting on that one. Thanks for your help
I have a couple of these on order, nice to see this video of what to expect. I'm going to see if my solar system in my shed can run these or one anyway. Newb question ,what does the Diff actually mean, I know it means difficulty but what does that mean exactly. That was shocking to see you almost get burned, jesus. How easy is it to apply new thermal paste?
USA - The KS0 Ultra ... Good purchase, can peak hash above 400 Gh/s but typically runs at 375 Gh/s @ 107 watts.
The Software cannot find the network parameters unless you use a STATIC ip address. Just one 120mm fan is enough to bring temperatures down to a normal range, cool enough to handle... otherwise, love it at the reduced price. Amazon carries it as well.
I think buying the coin and mining as well is a great way to support the network and let kaspa grow! Mining is just a wholesome way! Cheers
Just received two of these. Starting out and having fun!
I'm just getting into crypto and I'm not to sure about all of the different miners however I do like the look of the KS0 Ultra, I'm trying to decide right now weather it would be a good buy with how cheap (i think) it is and with the hopes KAS will go up. A nice little test run would be really appreciated, GL to everyone else as well.
I just bought one of these ultras. coming in the July shipment. It's my first introduction to ASIC mining. can't wait.
And never get my $$ back? Why... Thats the perfect defintion of insanity.
My buddy just got his 8 ks0 ultras. I suggest adding a floor fan or something to move a little air over them. the things COOK, like will injure you type of hot.
So I have a pro and been thinking of adding one of the ultras to it. I think if you live in an apartment and not got the options of running the big miners these are quite nice.
looking at the price action i think its a good buy, i just got my KAS0 Ultra but cant get it to work , just says machine is offline , any ideas?
Did you get it to work?
i an unsure if i should pull the trigger on an ultra. What do you say?
Trying to figure that out myself ( - :
I'm getting a Machine is offline error. Any help?
I like at the new low price, and you can mine SDR or Bugna also. thinking of getting one.
Ultra runs very hot. (Good for in the winter) efficiënt with low elektra usage. Good home miner. Hope we can mine other coins in the future.
please test VNISH firmware for antiminer s21
it should be able to run 240 TH/s (and more) and adjust hashrate after temp
it is also able to run under 2000W
2.8% dev fee
Hi, does anybody pay with BTC for Iceriver miners? Does the deposit address keep changing on them before you can transfer the crypto?
Mine turned up today and side by side comparison with the pro the Ultra has more holes drilled in the top plate.
I strapped a 120mm usb fan on the top and it was pushing 412gh/s. But the machine was very warm to touch and temp out was 57c,
so I placed a 120mm fan either side against the fins and got the temps down to 44c but the gh/s dropped to 318gh/s.
So it seems the machine likes to run warm for the most gh/s 🤷♂️
My thoughts? They coulve made it look prettier! I thought that's what the ultra part was all about.
I like KS0 ultra because it's small and consumes little, it's nice to have asics that consume little with electricity rate increases. Nice video😉
Great video. Curious if we get an OC for it. In addition. Kaspa coin has been increasing which helps!
Great review of the latest KS0 Money Burner.
Got mine yesterday but had issues with the login.
Typed in the IP but it wouldn't showup kept saying denied yet i have 20 KS0 Pros running.
same here, there is a fix in the kaspa discord. if u put ur pool info, it actually conects and mines. GUI is just bugged out. u have to go to ip settings and change it to static, and copy and paste all settings from previous ks0 if u have one or other miners, and then restart miner. then it should let u fix it, ( u have to do it one more time and update ip settings) and then hit ok, u dont need to restart after that.
Awesome for beginners to get the taste of mining! I have one on order, been mining helium for a few years so this is my first jump into asic.
I personally bought a ks0 ultra. Probably a bad idea, but I think it's an interesting lookin miner and I know I'll ROI on it EVENTUALLY just how long will that be?
i got 3. and a ks0 pro. yolo
For the price, it’s appealing for sure… BUT it just doesn’t make good sense IMO at this point and time with emission schedule, difficulty, and price action… nah. If they were $200 for 1T+, I would prob go for it. Great video RPM
I actually ordered the KS0 Ultra from Iceriver, July shipment. Slowly growing my farm
I ordered one, the BTC fees skyrocketed and delayed confirmation... then they lowered the price. Still waiting for it to arrive.
I like the idea of the Ultra, if I get one it would be to use as a heater this winter. The Pro0 I have is like a mini furnace.
Nice review. I'm considering buying one just not sure yet
So guys, help me understand something, I am somewhat new at this. In the video (point 7:50) it's mentioned that you can purchase 2200 Kaspr for the price of this unit. Also mentioned, this unit makes on 10 Kaspr per day. My question is how does this make any sense? I get if you really like mining or you like to use these as space heaters, but from a best use of dollars, I don't get it. Tell me what I am missing on this? Thanks
You are not missing anything, the average person buying these doesn't know how to math. You will never yield 2200 kaspa with this unless the price of kaspa drops 90% and everyone shuts theirs down. The argument that kaspa goes to $1 means nothing because buying the coin for $280 worth now would get you the $2200 later. Just because it's 10 today doesn't mean you will be getting 10 200 days from now, it's likely going to be below 1 a day. I have an original ks0 from nearly a year ago august and at the time kaspa was .04 and I paid like $900. I could have bought 22,500 kaspa instead but have only mine about 10,000 and soon it will cost more to run than I earn making 3 kaspa a day. If I had bought 22500 I would have $3850 worth today, instead have mined $1700 worth. So yes I made my dollar value back but at less than 50% of what I could have if I bought kaspa instead. So it's opportunity cost you are losing potential gains by buying miners vs coin. Only time it works out better if you go years without a price change that would curb demand and or no more models manufactured and sold
I think I agree with you, at this point I think it makes more sense to just buy the coins.
Can’t wait for my Ultra to arrive, to add to my Pro. Thx for vid RPM
They seem efficient. I might have to pick one of these up. Need to sell a few GPU's first. Hardware can be a good investment sometimes.
i think i would buy one still waiting to brake even on my kso pro im pretty close
It’s my first time where I’m really enticed to purchase a ks0.
Was always tempted, hope it’s not too late.
We need to see 2 things that is content worthy. 1. A disassembly to see how many more chips they added (if any). 2. factoring in the 5% deduction in the monthly payout.
I Bought 2 kso ultra, waiting for them to come in. I think they are a great idea given the efficiency. Canada
I bought 3 KSoU and waiting for them to arrive.😊
Love the content already and ready to go into crypto.
Love to have one of those in my home.
This miner looks great. Thanks for the video.
Yes I have it
I got one comin, hope it works good for me.
Good value after the June 15th discount. And future of kaspa it will be worth buying it!
Kas rocks. I have ordered 1 Ultra to get used to Kaspa mining.
Great video as usual ..
waiting for my ultra too ..
I'm excited about the Ks0 ultra and perfect for a starter hobbyist miner.
This looks great. I would buy it becoz of lower price, higher Hash power. Thats the best in this range of price.
i love it! would like to order mine, from iceriver soon.
I think they should have been at this price from the beginning.
yeah i made a mistake fo buying a pro... should of waited for this one... better hash rate and cheaper....
@ImKronzr don't feel bad. I'm sitting on 14 unmodified KS0 Pros. 7 black 7 green. All still mining. At 3TH I'm too far in to stop. At this point, I should buy more and add to the hash rate.
@@ByzKing not a bad idea. Are you pool mining ? In a large pool? Or
@@ImKronzr I'm not going to lie. My Pros are a bit promiscuous. They get around. They spent the first 7 months of their life on NiceHash doing very well because of BTC demand. But, after their breakup with NiceHash they started bouncing around. They were all on unminable for a bit. Converting Kaspa to ETC, ETH, and BTC, but 13 of them have been moved to K1 and are pool mining kaspa directly to a @redpandamining Tangem Wallet. The 14th is the runt and under performs so I left that on unminable turning kaspa has to BTC. I've tried various places and have decided to set them and forget them for now. I'll add to them but for now, I'm not moving them anymore unless something big happens or they drop below "break even"
@@ImKronzr I'm not sure where my reply went but they spent about 7 months on NiceHash converting to BTC, then when they broke up with NH, they started their rebound with Unmineable before ending up in a pool mining. 13 of the 14 successfully moved over but the slow one stayed over at unmineable converting to BTC.
Just got 2 in, 2 more inbound. For the new price, hard to pass even if it takes a year to roi. Still a great entry point to mining for small at home miners. Can't wait for the ks0 super mega ultra pro special edition. Nothing buy love panda
bought two of them, got a good discount so had to order the other one. Have ks0 and pro on solo, 0 downtime. love this things
I was thinking of going solo...its worth it yes?
@@RainBitcoins For me it was for sure. now when the hash is rising we will have to wait and see if it’s still good
I purchased 2 of them for the July batch. I like the low power cost of these units. With rising electric rates, these are great for home miners.
Me as well.
Even cheaper running at a hotel. 100% profit! lol

Guys if your ambient is not as hot as panda the miner likes 64-70 c . My hash went down with 120 m fan
One of me new ultras is running at 280 GH but running cool at 47c with a top fan..... is this too cold? will i gain hashrate making it hotter?
same problem..... was only 250 GH when i had fans on it....... Took them off an hashrate went close to 400
@AyoDojgh yup, took the fan off. It's at 400 now. Thx
@RedPandaMining Did you notice Fan 1 and Fan 2 stayed at 0 rpm for almost the entire video. At the very end I saw you do a refresh and Fan Speed went from Abnormal to Normal. I am having the same problem except mine won't come on at all. I contacted IceRiver and they said do not change them to manual speed that they are eventually supposed to come on but so far mine aren't and the temps are very hot.
my fans finally came on after 14 minutes and 87c temp...Thats way too hot for my liking but if i cool it further it wont hash at 400gh/s
@RainBitcoins Thanks for the info! I got up to 80c with no fans in 48 mins and quit. Ok I'm going to have to push the heat to the limits and see if mine come on. This is so weird. Guess I won't be using the shroud and cooling grills 🥴
@@benard9721 Ya, I'm hoping an overclock will come around that will give me the full 400gh/s or even a bit more which will allow me to cool the device properly. So either firmware update from Iceriver or an aftermarket firmware.
I don't understand, mine always says offline.... unable to connect... any idea?
I have 1 of 3 offline, I see it is version ICM168_2_11 vs the working ones are ICM168_2_14
@@svenssoniot4057 for me it's Kaspersky which blocked access to the channel I put in my exclusions and now it's good
Always fun to mod and play around with.I like the price and low power, but definitely needs a fan.😅
i think these are like the avalon nano 3 s you just buy them to play with it, sure it will pay off but i a very long time. But it is cool to have some extra heating for the winter :)
Great vid RPM I did just pick one of these up myself. I figured for the price to just let it rip.
What are legit companies in US to buy mining machines besides iceriver and antminer if they are sold out of a model?
Ive managed to cool mine down and turns out I cant get it past 360gh/s. Once i let it get crazy hot again it gets back up to 400+ gh/s. This is nuts, it can't be good for the long term life of the miner not to mention possibly burn my house down. I've never had an Asic that didn't like running cooler. I hope someone makes a video about this and Iceriver comes up with a firmware update.
I would like to have one for testing
Love the Ks0 ultra! already liked the ks0 pro, but double hashrate at only 100W is just great!
Price is reasonable not like in Ks0, so it's definitely worth to try it.
I think it is still worth a buy. I received mine yesterday.
Just got my Ultras. Bought two just before they dropped the price. Nice that IceRiver gave a coupon to those that bought. I ended up buying two more. Brought the average cost down quite a bit.
With the network hashrate increasing rapidly, it will be interesting to see when the next version comes out. I would expect December to be releasing a new KS0 X. Either way, will let them run.
Would love to have a kaspa miner, but here where i live prices are just to high for any of the kaspa models
New Miner... Red Man and you, Red Panda motivated me to jump in. I bought one of these KS0 Ultras, should be here in the week. I'll watch more videos to see how to optimize setup. should I get a fan for this? or can I use box fans, I will have 2 miners to start my journey.
turn your fans up in the miner setting tab. your fans are running to slow
I am thinking that the price makes me want to purchase a KSO Ultra and just add it to my other units.
