Rest in Peace, Naya Rivera. Santana was the only reason I kept on watching "Glee" in the later seasons. I would have gladly tuned in to a Santana and Brittany spinoff, they were far more interesting than Rachel.
Stiles was the mind, soul, spirit, sarcasm, humor and heart of Teen Wolf, without him the show was just never the same. Dylan is brilliant in the role whether it was Stiles or Void Stiles.
I definitely agree with #10. The show had Tyler Posey as the lead which was kind of a big deal being that he's Latino but fans just LOVED Stiles a little more. I like to think that Stiles was the Xander Harris of Teen Wolf.
It’s because Dylan is just such an awesome actor. There is a reason that he is arguably, the most popular actor of all of the younger teen wolf actors.
While I agree Santana Lopez should have been the lead, I personally would have mentioned Mercedes Jones as deserving to be her bff/deuteragonist. The two of them together performed AMAZINGLY and their friendship and on-screen chemistry were epic.
I always wanted Santana, Brittany, Kurt and Blaine to be the four leads, in their own Spinoff. It would have been so much more entertaining than The Rachel Show (otherwise known as Glee).
Characters I felt were missing from this list: 1. Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl) 2. Robert Barone (Everybody Loves Raymond) 3. Geoffrey (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) 4. Berta (Two and a Half Men) 5. Mona Vanderwall (Pretty little Liars) 6. Tommy Strawn (Martin) 7. Winston Bishop (New Girl) 8. Dr. A.J. Austin (The Resident) 9. Eric Matthews (Boy Meets World) 10. Brooke Davis (One Tree Hill)
I don't know, I think a lot of these characters are so beloved specifically because of the writing freedom that comes with NOT being the main character. Particularly the ones who start as antagonists and are slowly developed into protagonists.
Got to be careful with this idea. Some characters are great because they weren't the leads and/or their show's center. Also, being a main character with an ensamble is differn't to being the main character and both are different to a full on ensemble show with no (or not as noticable, in some cases) main character.
It's such an interesting choice to choose Santana to be the main. Ofc she is 100% interesting and relateable, and she definitely needed a bigger part in the show, but if I need to pick someone else over Rachel, it'd be Kurt. Kurt was her sidekick all along, and yes he has his own storyline, but from a certain point, it became Blaine/Klaine and less of Kurt's individuality. well Jack he was No9 so there's that, but Karen was so funny.
Hurley ? Are you kidding 😂
The funny thing is... Hurley was the main character the whole time. They just didn't reveal it until the end.
the only show i can agree to is Glee because Rachel was an awful MC. i dont know Teen Wolf, Will & Grace, Sons of Anarchy, Parks and Recreation and the Wire. so i dont write about them anything. but for the other Shows i cant really agree because the mentioned Characters worked so well because they were supporting Character for the actual MC. im not sure if they would work as MCs as well. especially not the Janitor and Abed. and there was even an Episode where the Janitor was the MC.
Jughead from Riverdale
Well technically they considered Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica the Main characters. Sometimes even Cheryl was included.
I would've sold my soul for a Spike spinoff.
Toxic, rapist character ? No thank. Angel was Better
yo stiles was the unofficial star of teen wolf.
Maybe it's because I haven't watched How I Met Your Mother; but i always thought Barney was the main character 🤷♀️
He isn’t ted is the main character.
Santana ✨🩵& Schmidt 💕
Interesting… I remember reading an article around the time Parks & Rec and Community first came out proclaiming Ron and Abed were the best new characters on TV that year 🤩
Anyone who isn’t Emily in ”Emily in Paris”.
I know it's not a live action TV show, but I'll consider Masataka Takayanagi from the anime Tenjho Tenge for a list like this one
ON "The Good Wife" There was the assistant played by an actress Archie P ????. She was the best part of the show.
MASH should've had Sherman Potter and Henry Blake as their side character, second is Growing Pains where Boner could've been on their side character.
jajaj the janitor was a stretch
As much as I love Chris from Everybody Hates Chris, I would love a Greg or Tasha spin-off or to some extent, a Caruso spin-off. Greg comes from a divorced family and while we do see his dad in one episode, I would love to see more of his relationship with his father. Tasha’s parents are ex-cons and lives with her grandmother. While Caruso does redeem himself in Season 4, I would love to see his home life and this is not to excuse his actions towards Chris. A Doc spin-off, even.
One thing I hate about Glee is what they did with Melissa Benoist's character
What did they do? I couldn’t finish the series
I hate to say it, But it ture. Barney Stinson. felt more like the (Real) main character then Ted in "How I meet your Mother" plus he was like everybody's hero. Even if did terrible things, But his honest about, unlike, Ted.
What about Lucinda the little witch from Sofia the First and Princess Isabel from Elena of Avalor
Legion - Kerry and Cary Loudermilk
Johnny Sac from "The Sopranos"
Barney Stinston. Happy tuesday afternoon, Sophia, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
Jack and Karen together was even funnier.
I didn't care for Kramer. I didn't think he was that funny. (Not bad enough to make the show unwatchable) And the best line was not about pretzels, but came from Seinfeld himself: "I don't want to be a pirate!"
Opie over Jax is that a joke
Dawson’s Creek Pacey Witter.
🤖 Bunnie Rabbot and Tails 🦊
"Sonic the Hedgehog" (1993)
jack mcfarland and karen walker werent meant to be stars. they were basically extreme versions of will & grace.
Anyone else but Rachel should have been the main character on Glee. She's as insufferable as the actress that plays her.
Jack was never funny on Will and Grace. He was cringeworthy annoying.
What!!!!!!
@@joseph_b319 Yes, I think that the character is annoying, unfunny and just plain cringeworthy voice.
Barney Stinson was the star he better than ted mosby wait for it😂
Baby Yoda?
The Karen and Jack show should had been a thing.
This might be a unpopular opinion but the the guy who played Scott was probably the weakest actor on the show so…
Sorry too much Jack and Karen would have been too much.
Hated the Leon black character on curb
Opie from SoA was complete in the serial, what else do add?
Same for Abbed from Community. And Scrubs, he was included in the first season as a "ghost", he got more than this.
Kramer and Barney were not side characters. How I met your mother would have been terrible without Barney.
Eric from sex education, Amy Brooklyn 99
I thought Abed an all of the other characters were main characters.
I would have had Kim Catrall as the main character of Sex and the City. Carrie was insufferable and an awful friend.
To be fair, in some shows the main character should follow the premise, so some character here nwver would not be protagonists
Opie is SO boring!
