My 75 Formula was my first car, and I still have. Restored it back in 2014, and added all the good stuff to it. I will never get rid of it. I truly love your car.

From a guy who has owned a 74 TA since 1987 and did a frame off resto...You have done a fantastic job with your car!!!... I'm hoping mine looks half that good when painted. Enjoy that pretty bird 🙂

I've had four TA's, the first in 1979. Amazing cars. Amazing memories. The second gens were most iconic. Thanks for the vid!

I had a 75 Trans-Am with a 400 and a super T-10 4 speed. It's easy to burn a daily tank of gas getting 11mpg. At that time, I was driving from just west of Providence Ri to the Naval Submarine Base in Groton, CT. I figured out that I could buy a brand new Toyota MR2 (1986) to drive to work in Groton for less cost than putting premium fuel in the TA every day. That's how I ended up with two great cars for the cost of running 1.

Cool story!! I bought my first car in 1985 it was a 75 Firebird and I bought it from the original owner and man I miss that car. Back in the day these cars didn't have alot of hp but we tried to make them look fast. I just bought a 71 Formula Firebird 400 it's not as nice as that 74 Formula but I love it and I bought the car in memory of my brother who passed away a few months ago and we grew up around these cars and you don't see much of these early 70s Firebird running around here any more well a least not where I live.

I owned one like it in the late 1970's (during high school) and early 1980s (after high school). All original 1974 Firebird Formula 400, Buccaneer red, 4 speed ( M-22 wide ratio Muncie rockcrusher 4 speed), power steering and power brakes and no other main options. Mine did not have the trans am steering wheel or chrome dash and it did not have a console (which is the way I prefer). It also did not have posi-traction rear end (3:42 ratio). I street raced it and won almost all the races. I could hold the gas pedal to the floor and never lift my foot and shift at redline through all the gears. Fun times. At the same time, my older brother had a 1978 trans am (automatic) red on red with no t tops.
