    That's amazing.They sell a similar piece on some party sites like Oriental Trading but the structure is smaller and the price is outrageous.It's definitely cheaper to DIY. Thanks for the clear instructions.

    Thank you. 2 years ago I made a canopy using pvc pipe and command broom handle holders that attached to the wall and pvc pipe. It was really good but yours is much easier. The dance was canceled due to Covid but now it’s back on and I’m going to use your idea instead.

    I will be making this for my Halloween carnival. Will have to add fabric in the back so when they throw balls or rings s0 we dont have to chase them down. Love this and came out great. Thank you

    Great vid. Good instructions. I am going to make one for my daughters wedding. I am going to add a piece of foamboard to the back with notches cut out to fit over the bottom pipes and velcro it on to provide a back wall.. matbe 12 or 18 inches.

      @@mimiski88 I already had PVC pipe and Velcro at home. So I ended up spending about $28 at Joanns for the awning material and $20 at Home Depot for acetone and a can of white paint.

    I used a canvas drop cloth from the paint department from places like Lowe's or Home Depot. They are think and you can paint them. I did a small section of a drop cloth with Red and Yellow stripes for Halloween years ago. I really wanted to make a small Circus tent to sit in. But never got around to making it.

    • @EventAnswer
      @EventAnswer  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used this 2 1/2" c-clamp on a couple of projects - amzn.to/3Q8CUr7 but recently I've been using more steel spring clamps, if you just need a couple they are inexpensive at Harbor Freight or you can by 12 or 24 packs on Amazon - www.harborfreight.com/search?q=spring%20clamp
      Of course, the most important thing is to double check that the size will fit over the table and PVC pipe.

    Hi there. I am trying to make this for a 4 foot table..I tried figuring out the cut sizes for the pvc pipes but when I tried it. It didn't fit right on the table. Is there any way you can tel me how to do this for a 4ft length x 2 foot width table with curves corners. I'm trying to make this for a Halloween carnival theme

    If it fits on a 6ft table, which is 72 inches, how come the long pipes need to be 66 inches? Are the 3 way Ts adding additional inches?

    • @EventAnswer
      @EventAnswer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Shayla, you are correct! The corner fittings add a couple inches to each end of that 66 inch pipe. I also needed the frame to sit on top of the table without risking it sliding off an edge. So I designed it to be slightly smaller than the 6 ft tabletop. Thanks for watching!

    How easy is this to travel with?

    • @EventAnswer
      @EventAnswer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all disassembles down pretty small. You just have to be able to fit the length of the longest pipe into your vehicle.

  • @takanyaspencer465
    @takanyaspencer465 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You mentioned clamping it to the table. What do you suggest using to clamp it to the table? I'd like to make this for our upcoming carnival. Thanks

    • @EventAnswer
      @EventAnswer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Takanya, I have used "C" clamps to hold it to the table before, they just need to be big enough to fit over the thickness of the table and the pipe. If you didn't put a tablecloth down under the stand you could always tape the frame to the table. I think it depends on the look you are going for, where you use it (i.e. outside where it might be windy vs. inside), and how you camouflage the mechanics of holding it to the table. I'm thrilled you are using it at an upcoming event! I hope you have a wonderful carnival!

      You could maybe use a waterproof spray for fabrics

    • @aimeebourne2780
      @aimeebourne2780 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Waterproof fabric would also work like PVC type material I think but you'd have to cut and sow together rather than paint I think

    • @EventAnswer
      @EventAnswer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've linked the sewing scissors I use in the description. They are one of the best Christmas gifts I've ever received and cut fabric like butter. As for the pipes, you can find them at any hardware or home improvement store (i.e. Home depot, Lowes, Ace, Menards). Happy making!

  • @jenmae21
    @jenmae21 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think you're going to want to weight the entire table at the bottom then, because you've basically made a giant kite. If you get a strong wind, you'll need to have that whole shebang secured to the ground somehow. ❤️🙏
