Mrs. Storm, why do you have me sitting here getting all emotional because I see the vision and know I can execute it😆. Interestingly, I was in a discount hardware store right before the holidays and they had some banisters for less than $5 each. I kept looking thinking, I can use those for something. My oldest daughter was like-Mom, come on, you don't need those (I'm known to purchase items for future projects) but my spirit was telling me I would. My youngest had just gotten engaged a few weeks before(listen to your spirit, it always knows) So I've said a prayer and tomorrow I'll be returning to that store in hopes that they at least have 4 left😊 if I can wait til tomorrow 🤭. Steph, thank you once more, my digital honored planner, you are a blessing 💞.
Thank you so much for making this video, and the cart so attainable! Some of these online or rentals are above $500. This is by far the best idea for a party that doesn't have a house-payment-budget!! 😄 Thanks for sharing all of your wisdom, and in a teachable relatable manner. Much appreciated!
Thank you Tammie! And Welcome to my channel. I think you will enjoy watching this video next to see another way I used this same cart. th-cam.com/video/l2SxN6JwXtI/w-d-xo.html
Do you think it’ll work if I add spindles to front and back to make its own table? I don’t have a folding table to sit this on top of. My baby’s 1 st birthday is in July and I want to make the cart in advance.
Making this as a favor cart for my wedding. Do you mind sharing what products you used/links? Also, what paint did you use- exterior or interior? Thank you so much for this!
Yes, I think you could measure wood to the size table top you need and just attach shorter balisters. The size I made is 24" and fits across my back seat.
@@stephstorm ooo thank you! I have a four foot table that I'm using. I'm in home Depot now. They are acting confused when I'm asking for ballisters lol.
Hi, thanks for your view, your compliment and your question! The stripes are just washy tape. It comes in gold, silver and many other colors. I wouldn't use paint on this foam board because it ripples the paper😉
Hi! This is awesome for those of us who aren't tool savvy! Thank you! Are the ballisters a standard size? I didn't recall them being mention in the items needed.
Hi! Glad you found this helpful. Yes, the ballisters are standard size from Home Depot. They come in white or unpainted natural wood. Thanks for watching and be sure to check out my other videos.
Just now seeing your very detailed video. It is great! I would like to to know the width of the table. I do know that it’s 4 ft in height. I think some folding tables comes narrow or wider. Thanks .
Hi again! I’m getting closer to having all my supplies for your collapsible cart. I know that you used a 48 in size shelving. Can you please let me know the width of the shelving. I went to Home Depot and saw both the finished and unfinished ones but they had both in 2 different widths. The lengths were 48 inches but I don’t remember hearing you mentioning the width. Thanks and sorry to bother you again.
Hi there! Ideally you want your wood top to be as wide as your table. My table is 20" wide. Home depot will cut it to the size you need for free. Hope this helps
Thank you so much for getting back with me! I will measure my table width and have it cut accordingly. You are so awesome and I’m getting more excited about completing this project to transport. I’ve saved your tutorial to refer to it if I get stuck. Keep up the good work! Thanks again!
Glad it was helpful. I used 2 pieces of foam board from dollar tree and taped them together with clear packing tape. If you add decorations on top it helps hide the seams
Hi Sophia, if you want to avoid using a folding table, you could add sturdier legs to the other side of the wood. Just make sure they lock well so it won't collapse.
Sure, I used a 4ft folding table. I bought a piece of MDF board from Home Depot and had it cut to the size of the table top. 4 ballisters, 4 small door hinges and 4 cup hook and loops

Hi, I think that could work too! Just be sure to use something to lock the spindle legs in place because it won't be very sturdy on it's own.
@@stephstorm thank you so much. Do you know what that thing is called that locks the folding table in place
Making this as a favor cart for my wedding. Do you mind sharing what products you used/links? Also, what paint did you use- exterior or interior? Thank you so much for this!
Sure, the ballisters, hinges and wood- home depot. foam board- dollar tree. Wagon wheel- Amazon. Interior paint
Thank you@@stephstorm, i was wondering what length balusters you got as home depot has a few different ones.
Thank you for this! Is it possible to do a mini version. I want it to fit into my trunk.

Hi, this is a really great one! Could you pls let us know what expense you incurred for building this? Thank you so much
Hi. Thanks for watching. All materials including the wagon wheel was under $100
Just seeing this video-Brilliant! At the end what did you use to get the black strip? Is it just paint?
Hi, thanks for your view, your compliment and your question! The stripes are just washy tape. It comes in gold, silver and many other colors. I wouldn't use paint on this foam board because it ripples the paper😉

Where did you put the velcro for the wheel? :) new subcribe! So cute!! 🧁 The kids wanna do a lemonade stand! 🍋 :)
Hi, just one piece of velcro on the top of the wheel connected to the foam board was enough. Have fun with a cute lemonade stand!
Just now seeing your very detailed video. It is great! I would like to to know the width of the table. I do know that it’s 4 ft in height. I think some folding tables comes narrow or wider. Thanks .
Hi Millie, thanks for watching! My table is 20 inches wide. It's on the narrow side

Hi, love it.....what's the width of your cart?
Hi Charlene, thank you! The width is 48" inches (4ft) but you can adapt it to any size table of your choice.
Hey this is sooo helpful! How did you make the bottom portion look seamless or is the bottom of the cart 48" foam board I couldn't find any that long
Also how big is your wagon wheel?
24" diameter from Amazon
Glad it was helpful. I used 2 pieces of foam board from dollar tree and taped them together with clear packing tape. If you add decorations on top it helps hide the seams
@@stephstorm thank you so much!
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching!
What size wagon wheel is this?
24 inch
I went to get a board but I thing the width is not wide enough. What’s the width?
Whatever size table you are using, have your board cut to the same size.
Would like to know how to secure top part of the cart on top of the table ?
It just sits on top of the table. The wood is heavy enough that it won't move.
@@stephstorm Thank you . Loved your idea and well explained video
What if I make 2 of the tables and put them on top of each other?
Hi Sophia, if you want to avoid using a folding table, you could add sturdier legs to the other side of the wood. Just make sure they lock well so it won't collapse.
Thank youuuuuu 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
You are most welcome!
Where did you get the balusters?
Thank you for the video!! I’m going to do it for my gender reveal party!! Thank you thank you thank you!!
You're most welcome! They're from Home Depot
What size are the baulisters?
They are the thin ones used for staircases. But you can use the thicker ones if you want. They are all the same length
So I tried making this last night and couldn’t get the hooks to fit in with the cup hooks. Tried moving them all different distances from eachother
I had to position my hooks on an angle to get them to hook into each other. Next time I will think of an easier way to lock the barristers in place
Can you let me know the materials you used and table size??
Sure, I used a 4ft folding table. I bought a piece of MDF board from Home Depot and had it cut to the size of the table top. 4 ballisters, 4 small door hinges and 4 cup hook and loops
What are the measurements for the shelf and table please
I used a 4ft folding table and got a piece of wood the same size. But you can make your wood fit any size folding table you want.
