- François-Henry Bennahmias is one of the most charismatic personalities of the watch industry. With his latest release of the CODE 11.95 he got awfully criticised, some even wanted him to resign. I hope for the CEO’s sake these watches do well. It’s horrible to see how people want him personally to fail. He has done his best, he has put his life and passion behind these products for 7 years. I don’t personally like the dials but I really hope in person everyone loves them and they sell well.
If you want him to fail personally and don’t know him or don’t have a real reason to hate him then you’re an simply being a horrible person.
If you are one of those people then ask yourself, he’s the CEO of one of the biggest watch brands of all time. What have you done recently?
Jason Levine I get your point. The part about arrogance is fair enough. If people think he’s being arrogant though surely it is better to give constructive criticisms not just all out “go fuck yourself I hope you get fired” type of comments which I’ve seen a lot of.
Those sort of comments won’t do anything meaningful as they will just be looked at by AP as idiot hater comments.
Comments like for instance “I love the cases and movements but I think the dials needs to definitely be improved or I don’t see these selling. Also I think that you can come across as a bit arrogant sometimes, maybe think about changing the way you are talking so you don’t come across so much in that way.
That sort of comment is much more likely to have much more of an positive effect and outcome for everyone.
I’d like to see more useful comments like this, but of course people are completely entitled to say what they want.
Jason Levine fair enough. I think it may have been him panicking because he was shocked with the hugely negative response, as a CEO you should be prepared for anything though I guess.

I'm just a seiko wearing jackass, but I think the Code 11.59 is awesome. Love that they took some risks with it. You wait, this watch will end up going down in history as a great one.
Definitely one of the Top 5 best videos from SIHH 2019. Great to see the "elephant in the room" being discussed so openly by both of you. The Code 11:59 is out of my price range, but I do find the more times I see the pictures, the more I like it (except the date window loctation). It will be very interesting to see if the ripples from SIHH 2019 continue for this range.

Sb Sb I don’t think Audemars Piguet is after Patek Philippe... what they do instead is being unique as AP. Besides Rolex and Patek Philippe they are the third big, from watch aficionados most desired brand in Switzerland ...
I personally think that the watch is beautiful, especially the rose gold perpetual calendar with the starlit sky dial, however the price is not right for the version with just a date complication. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a daniel wellington watch, but I surely wouldn't pay $26,800 for it. There are thousands of more appealing (and more complicated if you wish) watches on the market at that price range.

Why did it cut off? The last question wasn’t addressed in video 2 either. But from what I gathered, it seems people were right when they said all the years were put into the movement and then the watch was rushed to production. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think he said the movement was in development until 2017. Then they made the watch itself.
He was supposed to say goodbye to a group of journalists attending a press conference. Nothing dramatic ...
You just said your TH-cam channel is growing and the proof is the number of views of this video. 8k views in 4 years. It’s really growing. And frankly speaking Francois deserves far better reach. He always does interviews with very poor channels. I almost watched most of his interviews and it’s all the same, vert poor views and reach. Very strange
