k i was just skipping through the vid not knowing what he was gonna do for the second part and then i played the video again and it was just super low pitched amazing grace
@@EpheriumGG no, that's pitch again. Timbre is the quality or character of the sound. For example, if you sing a note and then plug your nose, it becomes nasaly. Helium and sulfer hexaflouride just change the sound, without changing the pitch. The notes your singing or speaking aren't actually lower or higher than the person singing them can otherwise hit. They are just a different quality if sound.
Andre the giant is a great example of this. His voice has a similar quality to sulfer hexaflouride, but the actual pitch he speaks in isn't unusually deep. Just sounds deeper because of the shape and quality of his anatomy.
Correct, timbre gives us the perception of a lower pitch when, in reality, it is not. My speaking voice averages 77Hz (I am a super low bass), while it doesn't have that compressed, heavy sound to it.
Whereas, Tim Storms (the man with the lowest recorded note by a human) has a similar voice frequency to mine, while also having that thickness. This means, he has both very thick, while long vocal cords; while mine are probably thicker and not as long as his.
It probably would not cancel each other out as the density of the sulfur hexafluoride is so much larger than helium. Having a 50 - 50 mixture would probably lead to somewhat lower notes but not as low as pure sulfur hexafluoride.Great question.
Unpopular opinion but I feel like helium should've been in the yellow balloon and the suffer hexaflouride in the blue balloon. It just feels backwards to me
Inhaling gases other than air should never be promoted as it is generally unhealthy. The 2 gases used in the demo are inert so there is low health risks. Helium is used as part of an oxygen mixture for scuba tanks because and not very soluble in blood and will not form bubbles in the blood as would nitrogen gas. Sulfur hexafluoride is also not soluble in the blood but it does poses some risk as it has been known to be a nose and lung irritant with prolonged exposure.
03:03 sounds like a demon that just converted to Christianity.
Omg....lol

It doesn't change the pitch at all, what it changes is the timbre of your voice, timbre is the quality of a sound.
The video title made me think you were going to try both gases simultaneously.
how fucking cool would that be tho?

I would love for someone to sing wonderful world with the sulfur hexa one, lol.
1:34 helium
3:02 sulphur
Spoiler alert, it actually doesn't change the pitch. It in fact changes the timbre, but the key you're speaking/singing in doesn't change at all.
Is that not just like an octave up and down

i would’ve fainted so fast already
Loved it , lol hope you good doe 👌🏾🤌🏾💌💌😄 .. came here from remembering the choir kid and the helium
But what if you did both at the same time

Hmm, I am a low bass singer (basso profondo); I want to try it with sulfur hexafluoride now!

Can it harm one's health?

😂😂 The low voice is so funny
Yeah imma do it anyway. And just to be clear you do know you can't see frequency.
Were can I buy some deep voice hellium
“Deep voice helium” bro are you dumb? It’s called sulfur hexafluoride, not helium. It’s literally in the title.
