It is for balancing, but I see what you mean. That thing is similar in power to 45 out of a carbine (except of course it has an armor piercing core). Which is light as a feather especially with a huge suppressor system on the end.
S L the 9x39 is a just an AK shell casing, 7.62x39, necked up to fit a 9mm projectile. It’s actually pretty ingenious, especially that armor piercing core you mentioned. Imagine someone chasing you with this, piercing 8mm of steel at 100 meters and still able to have energy to incapacitate the target behind the steel, or at the same distance it can penetrate a little more than 20 some layers of Kevlar, which most vests only have 10 to 15 layers in the them.

Yea it is a very smart design, all the silent 45 carbines of the first world wars didnt have any penetrative capabilities.

Armor can be repaired by the various traders, although not to it's full original durability.
Yeah i know but Ghzel is 60 durability to start with. I thought by the time its 30 basically any bullet will go through it anyway
