This album was my favorite about 12 years ago. I hadn't heard this song in about 11 years either. Always searched youtube and Itunes for them. Thanks for posting. This is very much the pinnacle of rare. Thanks.
Damn, I finally figured it out!!! I don't listen to much ska, but I remembered listening to a comp in the mid to early 90's.... and this was the song I remembered and there's the comp cover!! Yay!! Thanks Insteps!
well maybe the original had a the checkered part that the guy is tearing through? I'm not sure exactly, I had it copied onto a tape.. but either way, this is definitely from the comp!
We recorded a couple singles, then after I left they recorded an LP, and broke up. I worked in a Hong Kong band, Transnoodle, that does a fair bit of sorta-ska and is still together,
I remember this song from when I was at Columbia U uptown going out to see them at phi ep ! Anyone from back then ??
I remember listening to this all the time when I was a little kid, so glad I finally rediscovered it after all these years!
Thanks for posting with CORRECT INFO. Me and Tom Hughes wrote this with Dave Nelson and Noah Roy while in The Insteps.
Josh, I was at Columbia when you guys were playing at Sigma Nu on 114th. Do you have the album still? Can you share it?
Tom Hughes was my roommate at Hunter College. Do you know where he is these days?
