I always learn at least one thing every time I watch one of your videos, Wick. You're a wealth of information. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us all. 👍😉😊
When I go to Lowe's or Home Deport I go to eBay and search the UPC and I automatically know if I should purchase the item. I have done great using this method. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
Thanks for the video...I'm seeing in increase here in central Ohio too. I truly think goodwill would make more money lowering prices. They would sell quantity as people would be more inclined to spend, they could replace items faster and it would decrease amount going to the landfill. I don't understand their current business model. Thanks for doing what you do : )
I’ve just discovered that Clorox wipes take off the stickers on boxes without ruining the box. Try it and see, then I want a shout out. Love your videos. I’ve learned almost everything from your channel and I’ve made 12,500 in 90 days. I’ve spent about 5k but still. This is so fun and we kinda like the same stuff! Thanks for your time making these videos. Super helpful. I’m trying to figure out vintage trucker snap backs like you but they are hard to figure out. Please advise. Again, thank you!!!!
Wonder if you could put a box like the Tile cutter in a bubble/poly mailer instead of label on box?? Just asking... ~ ~ Love watching you source all over the place.. Even most tool sellers don't source "Clearance" racks. Another infotmative post! Thanks!
Looks like your Goodwill is pricing like mine here in Port Orange,FL. For some reason ours is stocked with TJMax, and Marshall's ! Every once in awhile, they let a real "donated" item hit the shelves but not often . It's just not used items anymore ! 😮
If a buyer doesn't want an item shipped in the original box, use the plain, brown shipping paper. It comes in a big roll. You just cover it like gift wrapping.
Goodwill is absolutely ridiculous on their prices. After their high prices and then the high fees from reselling sites, there isn’t much profit in reselling half the time.
I picked up a similar set a couple weeks ago. I think I paid about $5.00 CND for it though. My set was missing 1 of the wise men, a;; the animals and the manger but had baby Jesus and everyone else including the angel. The thrift sores here are hit and missing .. the bigger ones are overpriced, the non-chain store ones are tend to be better and there's 3 stores here that have pretty decent prices at least for some things.
Such a shame I'm very thankful for the low prices here in nc hope they dont change but its mostly the stores that actually give their money to the church and or the poor....
Found a box of sega saturn games CIB this am at a dollar sale. Didn't look through just saw there were 20ish games and put them on the hold table and kept looking. Should have paid and left but I didn't. 10 mins later lady who owns the place comes out and gets them saying they weren't suppose to be out. Crushed.
Oh that is heartbreaking. I've had something very similar happen to me. Dad saw me buying them at their garage sale and told the mom to call their daughter first. Daughter said don't sell them. N64, NES, SNES, PS1 all in boxes excellent condition. I've never got over it lol
Mostly because it's hard to bake in considering the price to ship something can vary between$20-30 for an item depending on where it goes. Anything under a pound I typically do free shipping and then do calculated on things over a pound. I price so that it will cost the same or less as free shipping for most people. Doing free shipping or charging is up to you in the end really.
West Coast Goodwills can be good or bad. I live on West Coast and find tons of great stuff. The big cities can be terrible though to be fair I've one gone to one in LA and it was crappy.
I check Amazon first, then eBay. I check how many people are selling the item. The lowest they are selling it for. How many they have in stock. How many have sold. For me a lot of it is just prediction based on things I've sold in the past. Prices jump around for clearance so it may seem good when you buy it, but be flooded by the time you sell it.
I'm estimating the fees and the cost of goods. I don't estimate what the IRS takes at the end of the year because there's a lot of deductions and way to complicated to think about every video lol
I detest the fact that ebay charges selling fees by including shipping cost . I had promoted fees for a while at their floating fees and got slammed.Put evrything down to a 5% promote fee and not goin gto budge going forward. Other than that, like your you tube site @@FlippingJunk

IMO, full shelves usually=high prices, keep pushing and find a few gems, make mental notes and wait for half off days....
Great haul as usual.

Do you start peeling the sticker and use the wipe to finish taking it off or do you wet the sticker with wipe then peel it off?
I had that Shell parking garage toy when I was a kid. That’s cool.

Thanks Wick! I just sold a few pair of Brooks recently. Good turnaround

They may be buying closeouts from big stores.
Thanks for the video and information
Awesome video man! What mount do you use for your pov shots?
Great finds, Wick!
Thanks!
Good Sunday morning ❤

Interesting that in the US you can be charged a different price at the till to that on the shelf. That's illegal here in the UK.
It’s supposed to be illegal here too mate

My Goodwill has shoes priced at 4.99
cool merch
You couldn't sell those BEATS CASE? Sometimes the cases are worth as much as the headphones.

Good info.
My Goodwills prices shoes $15-$25
Lowes and Depot have been junk for Clearance for awhile
My goodwill is 3.99 for shoes unless marked up

@@FlippingJunk Reseller PTSD 😆
My goodwill sells basic shoes 7 boots are 10 and nike shoes are ridiculously priced at 20 to 25.
Why do you add shipping to all of your listings instead of just baking it into the price with free shipping? Is there an advantage listing this way?

Goodwill has gotten out of control with their absurd prices.

Lol
Where in “LA”? LA is massive and there’s hundreds of goodwills
@@helpfulcommenter West LA near Santa Monica. They had broken dishes for like $10. No. Lol
Do you ever go to savers?
No, I don't have any close to me.

When you mention the profit are you including the ebay fees?

Do you wear a body cam or use your phone for in-store filming?
I use a GoPro, but I don't wear it inside of thrift stores. I sometimes wear it to rummage sales and garage sales, though
@@FlippingJunk thks for sharing ❣️

Thanks, I got rid of it.
