Would definitely be interested in hearing about your current son's previous two years and what your graduate's course of study looked like for high school.
Thanks for sharing all of this! Very encouraging!!! I’d love to hear more about the high school years. I currently have 2 in early high school and would love to know more high school homeschool tips!😁
No, not overwhelmed. But I do think I have a little bit of FOMO (fear of missing out). I want my kids to have the ability to go where they want with life after high school, and there are a lot of routes to get there.
@@megandonaldson4964 I love that you recognize that there is more than one route to get to where they want to be after high school. That is such a great perspective!
I am 5 years into the homeschool journey and always look for moms who have graduated at least one homeschooler. I do not like learning from my peers as much since they are also in the thick of these trench years. Love you channel!
I would love to know how you assign grades for high school transcripts since you aren't giving tests or grades on assignments. I would love to do that with my high schooler as well!
Great question! Any online dual enrollment will obviously be graded. For the other classes, I assign grades that I don't necessarily share with them. Our focus is on learning a subject more than anything else. Any struggle means we slow it down and work through it until mastery.
@@LittlebyLittleHomeschool so if your student mastered what they needed to would you consider that an A to go on transcripts to submit to the college? We have always worked until mastery. Never graded my kiddos until now my oldest is 16. Honestly though, she still works till she masters.
I have actually been sharing a bit more about homeschool on my podcast...if you'd like to listen: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/little-by-little-homeschool-homeschooling-motherhood/id1607943103
Can my high schooler take Visual Arts AP offline with art books I choose from library and can his Final exam be a project? Also, can dual classes be online only?
The best thing to do first is to assess your child's learning style, your teaching style, and your homeschool style. That will help make it easier to decide on curriculum. I am currently sharing more about homeschool on my podcast rather than here, so hop over and listen for more info! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/little-by-little-homeschool-homeschooling-motherhood/id1607943103
Right now, we are only doing the accounting course, but I am looking into having my boys do a few other classes. So far, so good, but I will definitely give an update after we get through it a bit further.
Great question! He completed his high school history requirements in 9th and 10th grades. If he wanted to go to college and more history was required, he would skip high school level courses and take dual enrollment college courses online.

Thank you for the input! I will definitely share.
Would love to see your complete high school curriculum through the entire 4 years!
Thanks for the input! I definitely have some plans to add more high school content in the near future.
Yes you tube definitely needs more homeschooling high school content! Daughter’s 4 years, son’s 9/10…all relevant!
Yay! And thank you for this input.
Thank you for sharing! I would love to hear more about duel enrollment and how you have used that in HS.
Sure thing! I'd love to share and will plan to soon.
I’d love to hear more about dual enrollment.

Yay for homeschooling high school! How is it going for you so far?
Yes! Totally interested in your perspective of homeschool as someone whose been through the whole thing!
Thank you for this input! How long have you been homeschooling?
@@LittlebyLittleHomeschool I have been homeschooling for 6 years. High school feels like a whole new animal!

Would love to see how you do dual enrollment. I have mixed feelings about having them "get ahead" vs. Enjoying their high school time for what it is.
I'd love more info on dual enrollment. My freshman may be interested in that in another couple of years.
Are you going to post this next year’s curriculum choices and maybe a review if this past year?

@@estrellaakastar5118 Exactly! I don't see how any homeschoolers get less than an A or B in a subject. And I love that she works until mastery!
@@LittlebyLittleHomeschool agreed 💯. Thanks for this video
Will you be able to share some of the core subject curriculum for high school and middle school? Thank you!
Sure, I can! It also is contingent upon state homeschool regulations too.
I would love to hear what your graduate did in high school. I think that would be helpful.

Are you considering the accounting class math? Or is he not doing math this year?
Yes, he completed his math requirements for our state and so, we are using the accounting as his real life math.

Are there other courses that you are using from Schoolhouseteachers? How do you find it so far? How long have you been using ST? Thank you.
Right now, we are only doing the accounting course, but I am looking into having my boys do a few other classes. So far, so good, but I will definitely give an update after we get through it a bit further.

Is the dual enrollment class online or through a local community college?
We used private colleges for dual enrollment.
