    I watched the whole of this walk today. I have to say that , throughout each video , the soundtrack was a pleasure and a privilege to be absorbed by. Thanks to your Camino it's been a good day. And, now.......on to the end!

      @@toughgirlchallenges I discovered your channel yesterday. I watched the whole of this Camino journey yesterday. And I did the same thing again today. Anyone wanting to do the Camino NEEDS to see this. I have awkward, fussy , dietary requirements. So it was interesting to see how you coped. And, now, and from here-on-in , I will work my way through all your walks. ( I first backpacked solo when I was 10 - I think my parents were trying to tell me something. ). The bug which bit me during that solo trip lives-on inside of my head. You , and your approach, have made my feet very itchy. However, learning smidgeons of both French and Spanish is important; it'll give me confidence. More so if I get lost. So on behalf of the large number of people you have inspired - and in the same way the film ' The Way ' has - massive thanks , Sarah.

    Loving the vids Sarah especially as its not a trail that Id fancy myself. Im still rewatching your Wales ones as Im doing it in stages and waiting to get myself back to Trefor. What I particularly enjoyed about these ones was the way you showed how many decisions walkers have to take and its not all simple and easy. Always entertaining.nice one on the completion

    Congratulations! I was kind of shocked that you didn't plan to spend the night in the city to rest up and freshen up before your flight home and then I remembered that your flight is probably only a couple of hours long and you'd be home shortly there after. That must be nice. See you on the next adventure. Much Thanks!

      Thank you so much for watching. The next few vlogs are Uk based which I think you will enjoy. First up is the Isle of Man coastal path, followed by walking Offa’s Dyke and then the coast to coast. I hope you enjoy 🥳🥳🥳

      @toughgirlchallenges  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@malls886 it’s a really tough walk. Much tougher than I was expecting!!! I think it’s up there with one of the hardest hikes I’ve done. I was hiker fit and still struggled. Plus I was carrying a lot of food to keep costs down - so my pack weighted so much. It was a gorgeous walk!!

    Congratulations on getting to Santiago and thanks for all the films. I finished the Camino Frances 10 days ago and started watching your vlogs before I went and I've finished them since I got back. I found there were two very different caminos on this route - the more natural, quieter and challenging way before Sarria, and then there is the busier, easier, more commercialised section from Sarria to Santiago. Both valid caminos but very different. Oh, and Sarah, those places where you sleep each night - repeat after me "Al-bear-gay, Al-bear-gay" 😁😁😁.

      Thank you so much for watching the vlogs!! And thank you for the phonetic spelling - it actually really helps me!! I’m so bad at pronunciation of Spanish words!! I’ll get practicing!!! 🥳🥳🥳

    Thank you Sarah for sharing your walk of the Camino, I loved it! Do you think it would be acceptable to do as an atheist?
    Have you walked or thought of walking any of the via francigena, especially the Italian end?
    I have just finished watching your series of the Overland Track. I live 60kms from Cradle Mountain and never had any interest in doing it. Now my Son and I are planning to walk it very soon. Thank you for the inspiration!

    Thanks so much for your amazing vlog. I hope you are doing a Q&A or a feedback from your experience. I would love to know your pros and cons and words of wisdom.
    I'm inspired to do the Camino now but I do prefer more natural, quieter trails I think. I think I might stressed about getting a place to sleep.

      @toughgirlchallenges  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks so much for watching. I won’t be able to do a Q& A vlog. But if you look in the TH-cam description box - I do a full analysis from the walk. All the stats and then more on my general thoughts. Let me know if you have any specific questions. 👍

    • @toughgirlchallenges
      @toughgirlchallenges  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A lot does depend on the time of year you can do the Camino. But k think it’s always going to be busy now. You can book your accommodation all the way though so you’ll know you’ll always have a bed. That is an option to consider. Obviously pros and cons to doing that.

    Hi Sarah, you are a tough girl! Just subscribed. Great vlogs. Watched all 17 of your vlogs for the Camino Frances. Questions: what shoes do you wear, how do you keep from getting blisters and how did you get long distance endurance?

    • @toughgirlchallenges
      @toughgirlchallenges  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thanks so much for your questions - I'm so glad you've subscribed. I work with INOV8 and wear their trainers for my challenges. On my website - there are different reviews on the trainers. Inov8 have great grip and will also last. Blisters can still happen - it's been ages since I've had them. But on my current camino - I've been suffering. my trainers were the wrong size (too small) and it cause all sorts of issues. So number 1, make sure your shoes fit your feet!!! At rest breaks I take my shoes and socks off to try my feet out and wear good socks. Long distance endurance can be build. I find after 8/10 days - I'm good and can walk all day - with a pack. However, I've been doing this for a long time and generally try to maintain my fitness at all times - as it's easier for me to maintain than it is to build it back up again. It's a question of just starting/ Take a listen to the amazing women I've spoke to on the tough girl podcast - they share lots of top tips re training and endurance.

    Fabulous vlogs Sarah, have thoroughly enjoyed following you on this trail. How much was the certificate and did you have to pay cash or could you pay by card? Looking forward to the next trail vlogs 😃

    • @toughgirlchallenges
      @toughgirlchallenges  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was €3 euro for the certificate and €2 euro for the cardboard case to put it in. You could pay by both I think. There is a little shop inside which sell stickers and pictures and has pens and mugs and other Camino merchandise 👍

    Nice one, congratulations on getting to Santiago .
    Question ? I've walked the Frances and the Portuguese, but had a disaster on the Portuguese as I was walking in November ( not a good idea) no accommodation, rained continually most shops bars cafes shut .
    Maybe I was just unlucky, or really stupid for going in November.
    You said you'd walked in October , how was your experience at that time of the year ?
    I'm considering trying again but might try the via plata instead .
    Great video again 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏼
    Buen Camino peregrina

      The vlogs from my Camino Portugués walk are on this channel so you can watch. I started in September and finished early March. Cicerone do a great guide book. I think you were probably just unlucky with the timing. I’d do it again - maybe start earlier if you can. I’ll be doing the Camino Via de La plata next year. Let me know what you decide.
