    sure fsu went undefeated but they also looked significantly weaker without travis at qb. if any team deserved to gripe and bitch about being left out (not saying they deserved it bc of the timing of their loss) its UGA, the team that won 2 straight nattys and 29 straight games going into the sec championship, then losing by 3 to a much improved Alabama since their Texas loss early in season. But georgia didn't pout, they didn't opt out like fsu players. They worked to make sure they ended the season with a win and the record for most wins by a program in 3 straight years by a cfb program ever (42). FSU players opted out and left a shadow over an otherwise terrific season. only 1 team in this game truly has a legit gripe to being left out of the CFP....and it is not the Noles. Gunner Stockton could have beaten a fully loaded fsu team imo. UGA has had plenty of player issues the last couple years but FSU appears to have a real issue with their culture, they lack resilience. Go Dawgs! we ain't goin anywhere.

      Between transfer portal and injuries, Georgia was missing 23 players. Hell, they pulled all their starters at half time so it was literally bench against bench the entire 2nd half and they still outscored FSU 21-0. This game was bad because one team is in a completely different league than the other. The same happened last year in the national championship game but you don’t see people blaming that on the portal or NIL. Just like this game, Georgia was the miles better team and showed it.

    • @W4TSKY
      @W4TSKY 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@MikeM275That’s a culture problem at FSU. Why did so many FSU players opt out but the only Georgia players that didn’t play are either injured or in the portal? It’s the same reason why no Bama players including #1 draft pick Bryce Young and #3 draft pick Will Anderson opted out of their “meaningless” bowl game last year at Bama. FSU didn’t like the bowl game they got so they threw a hissy fit, took their ball - went home, and left their teammates out to dry. You want someone to blame? I don't care what the circumstances are or who was playing. UGA had their 3rd stringers in their most of the second half and was running the most vanilla offense possible, or they would have scored double what they did. But FSU who went undefeated in the worst P5 conference and who haven’t done anything worthwhile as a program in almost a decade think this game was beneath them? 😂 If this game was beneath anyone, it’s Georgia. So many pathetic excuses coming out of FSU when they got absolutely dog walked by a better team, better program, and better culture. I don’t want to hear anyone say anything about FSU ever again. Playing this game was a bad decision on FSU's part from the minute it was announced and instead of the school saying we're not playing, they let all of their most talented players say it for them by opting out. All of FSU's will, and desire to win a 14th game died on Selection Sunday when the selection committee stole their honor and handed it to Alabama. Why was it necessary to add insult to injury by forcing this game which resulted in a record-breaking defeat? For ata-boys and pats on the head/back? For participation trophies and moral victories? And now more self-inflicted punishments are on the way as they try to maneuver their way out of the ACC.

    All of Florida State's quitters and cowards voluntarily choose that option. They deserve NO sympathy. Their choice said, "We hate our team, we hate our coaches and we hate our school. We refuse to give one more ounce of effort for them." This was THEIR CHOICE. They - and Florida State - deserve NO SYMPATHY for a program that creates THIS sentiment among players. I hope that this decision is one that becmoes well known, stains them so that everyone passing by, everyone who recognizes them KNOWS this is a quitter, this is a coward, this person chose to doom peole he LIED to. This is also a coaching staff that BUILT that kind of sentiment into that locker room, into that team's spirits. THIS is the caliber of coaches. I'd also point out that Joel Klatt's 2005 conference championship game ended up with a worse score - 70-3.

      It changed nothing. The CFP results would be no different. Georgia's loss to Alabama changed the landscape and CFP though.

      Disagree. Had Jordan Travis had not suffered that catastrophic injury to himself and his team, the Seminoles are a different look especially against Louisville in ACC Championship game. That would have solidified the Seminoles unbeaten record with a conference championship. Now Florida State is clearly one of the four best teams in the nation. Alabama worthy too in a defeat of of Georgia and an SEC crown but this would have been historic that the SEC champs would have been left out because of the regular season victory by Texas over Alabama. Texas would be in and so would have been Florida State. That's my point about the Jordan Travis injury. Yeah in the end. Very tough luck for Florida State like those old late 1980s days against Miami and wide right.

    You have a chance to play in the Orange Bowl and you "opt out" to protect some chance to be on the practice squad in Cleveland or some shit instead of leaving college on top of the pile? Meh... spoiled primadonna behaviour and the reason the NFL is getting more boring every year. Guys like Jack Lambert, L.C. Greenwood, William Perry, Lawrence Taylor, and Jack Tatum would literally pick up and spike these primadonnas today. Even players from 15 years ago (Ray Lewis, Polomalu, Peyton Manning) had class and toughness that todays NFL is sorely lacking. I give the NFL another 10-20 years before it's totally pussfied and Americans lose interest.

    For the ones that say this is why they shouldn't have been in the playoffs. Clearly don't know anything about football or this team And how they had thirty eight players opt out or transfer Because I promise you if they would have the opportunity to been in the playoffs all Of their starters would have played Don't know how come but it wouldn't have been better than this so miss me with your dumb dont no football Comments. @bigkev5958 I guarantee you, if they were in the CFP, none of them would've opted out. Besides, how many of those 30+ players actually have a shot at the league? They quit because they got snubbed, plain and simple.
