- The No.5 Seminoles were defeated by the No.6 Georgia Bulldogs 63-3 in the 2023 Capital One Orange Bowl. FSU quarterback Brock Glenn passed for 139 yards on the afternoon. Kentron Poitier hauled in 4 receptions for 84 yards, and defensive lineman Patrick Payton had a sack and a forced fumble for FSU.

Interestingly enough, there was no scoring in this game for over 22 minutes (first score came at 4:05 in the first and the last score at 12:10 in the fourth).

Georgia had the same amount of people out wit injuries and portal. The 2nd half it was more equal because Georgia played 2 and 3 string and even a walk on scored. So it was not the amount of people out. It is FSu quit. And they paid for that plan by getting shellacking 60-3. FSU was a Jr High School team.

I’ve never heard of announcers praise a QB who completed under 50% of passes, had multiple turnovers, and lost 63-3 like they did last night.
TBF, its hard for announcers to find something to talk about in games like these. It's not heaping praise per se, its more like just repeating the same thing over because, well, there's nothing else to say.

My best friend is an FSU fan. We go to an FSU game one year and a Georgia the next. This was my second FSU game this season. What I saw this game was totally different from the other I saw in person. It’s truly sad how things unfolded for FSU and 100% Norvell is to blame on that.

I don't care about the backups playing and not having starters playing for FSU that was just ugly, and even with backups, it never should have been that bad. FSU started offensive linemen played, and that got slapped around. I get it if it was 35-14 or 42-17, but that right there was just pure ass whooping, and it's sad to see the mindset of FSU players when faced with some adversary. Watch the highlights/ condensed game. Not a single FSU offense play series. The FSU D was stout in the first couple series. Then thye were burnt from being on the field so much. Especially guys that don't play much. That wasn't FSU.
FSU got screwed by the selection committee. That being said... they should've declined the bowl invite as a protest. Kirby Smart has said spoken times about Georgia having better players. Even if we listen to the Seminole tears about so many of their players being 'unavailable' the fact is: Georgia would have still manhandled them nearly as bad. Let's not forget Georgia had less than 60 scholarship players available. And yeah, I've heard different numbers for Georgia. Bottom line: Georgia had better players and the ones they had that showed up to play - did just that!
