💜💜💜. The Thomas take over should be a regular edition it was so sweet. Loved all of this. Couldn't wait to get home to settle in with a tea to watch this vlog.
The flower cushions are lovely! A perfect way to bring the outdoors in to the conservatory and adds some beautiful detail to the room. They have my vote! Also, I can't wait to see the purple hair- keep us updated on the toner adventures.
For what it’s worth I love the flower side of the pillows in the conservatory 🤷♀️😂 it looks a lot like the wallpaper for your office. When you were picking them out in the shop I thought “oh perfect! It totally matches the room now that you painted the walls! I hope she buys them” and I’m so sad you turned them around. I LOVE when colors match, or a piece brings different colors together. I’m a monochrome kinda girl 😂 Just my two cents of course. 💚
As someone who had purple/pink/blue hair for about 4+ years - your purple hair going green is completely normal. since most of the cool hair colors are water based they start to fade the more you wash your hair. so generally to keep your color the way it is for longer periods of time just not washing your hair as much should do the job, another suggestion is to mix your purple color with some pink, that way it fades to a nicer lilach and then a light pink/orange color :) 💜💜💜
the pillows are great and even match the tile and flowers. Also the Thomas vlog was so adorable Thank you for being open about your struggles with parenthood and time management 💜💜💜
My husband and I are currently doing a house reno and I saw one of your recent videos pop up. I added all your house stuff to a playlist and I’m making my way through them. I love how wholesome and real your content is, Melanie! And Tommy takeover time is so entertaining! I hope you keep doing this kind of content when you can ❤.
💜💜💜 I wouldn't call this a "bad" house update. The additions to your conservatory and office are coming along beautifully. Also, I have to laugh at you two being so tired and then wanting to have another kid. I mean, I kinda get it. But it's still funny. Thomas did a great job with his portion of the vlog. Your family is adorable and I love seeing your updates!
@@melaniemurphyofficial Trust me, I get it! We bought our house 4 years ago next month. When we had it inspected, they indicated no leaks in the basement. That was a LIE! Water pours in every time it rains harder than a sprinkle. We were renovating and building a bar, paneling the walls with gorgeous reclaimed wood when we discovered it. Fortunately for us, mold has not taken over the area, but it's still a pain. Our dream of a basement "speakeasy" bar has been put on hold.
I like these relatable renovation videos. Its nice to see how long renovations can take and that its a step by step process instead of everything all at once.
I love the house updates!!! I did notice you have a FF car seat & I wanted to recommend looking into extended rear facing, it's a lot safer in crashes (especially before babas are 6yrs, when their neck is properly developed) & it can be comfier for their feet as well. Obvs its completely your choice, I just wanted to mention it incase you'd not heard of it/ looked into it! Cant wait for more house to home vlogs💜 xx
💜💜💜 I normally forget to engage with videos, because I quite often watch them in the background... But I just wanted to tell you, I just love having your voices as company! And I feel you on the exhaustion, even though I have no kids and just life, mental health and family health troubles to manage. Something about this made me think of that saying of "You can have it all, but not at the same time" and feel like our generation has just been told the first half of it...
💜💜💜 So cool to see your home come together! I've always loved how you put together a room-there's this cozy, Christmas-all-year-round feeling. And your very own Weirwood tree? Hell yes.
These vlog style vids are getting me through finals week. I have been following you for years and I’m in love with your long-form content. I’m emerging into adulthood and watching someone who has made that transition and is now going off and doing such awesome things is really encouraging/makes me excited for life.❤️❤️
White vinegar works brilliantly on mould!! Won't fix the water problems ofc, but might help keep the mould under control until the bigger problems are fixed.
Put the flower side in the front of the pillows and buy 2 smaller pillows that are just 1 colour and put them in front of the flowery one to break it up! 👌🏻✌🏻 thats the trick ❤️
I love these videos so much!! Especially when you guys are just plopped down relaxing and chatting! It’s a cozy vlog! And the house is beautiful! I love the plants surrounding the house and growing up it, and those bushes like a maze! It all is so very magical looking! You guys are surely lucky to have such a beautiful sight to behold!
i find the comparisons between you and thomas and my parents so sweet. they were friends for 10 years before becoming a couple. my dad is a pilot. their song is more than words. they bought a house when my brother was teeny, which they’ve slowly renovated with a beautiful garden. i’m so thankful i get to follow your and thomas’ life, and i feel like it somehow makes me even closer to my parents
This bit at the end where he tells off whatever has hurt him is something kid me could relate to so hard - mum has so many videos of me as a toddler doing the same thing 😂 *falls off bike* 'THAT BICYCLE TRIPPED ME OVER' yells the angry northern child in a thick Lancashire accent 😂

I love these kinds of casual catch up vlogs the best (it feels like catching up with one of the girlies). Over the many years I've watched your content, getting to know you through your videos and books has been such a joy.
