I'm not personal attacking you, I'm just trying to understand how you only have an opinion on Desperadoes performances. Be fair with your comments. Desperadoes, All Stars, Renegades, Exodus, and Phase II earn their popularity over the years by not just panorama. These bands represent the country all over the world with a wide repertoire of music. I have nothing against any other band. We all have our bias, preference however I do not think we should come on the media just to strongly critique the performance of 125 musicians with their arrangement.
@@rodneyk5202 you didn't have to respond either, this is social media as you've stated and we can choose to expunge on any given topic as we wishes. Now, if you have a personal thing with any comments on a band/ group/ team or political figure of your likeliness, too bad, you can't tell me how and what to comment on. I've commented on phase2, renegades, allstars and silver stars before, I'm not partial to nothing or no one.
Despers gave a great showing. But this is old-school Panorama. The top bands have taken it to the next level in the arrangements! Despers hopefully will get there in 2025. But still, if yuh is a Despers fan, yuh should still hold yuh head up high.
..but its old school arrangement and arrangers controlling the higher placings in the panorama ...may be the new school would get on board next year...it makes sense not so ?

Have been a Desperadoes fan since 1962, their music has always been impressive from the days of Kitchener 'Mama this Mas!' Listening to this year's performance, still I'm very much impressed & wish you guys better luck next time. If any ties for 1st it should have been Massy's & Starlift.

Congratulations to both Renegades & All Stars. Happy with the results,no & mind you , i am an All Stars fanatic. Not sure what these judges smoke before judging these Panorama. This arrangement by Despers reminded me of the Jammer, beautiful from start to the end but not good enough to get the judges nod. For me it was a better arrangement of DNA than Renedades but this is just my view. Phase 11 placing is very unfortunate when you listen to that quality arrangement from Boogsie. So sadden to say but the DJs are killing this music industry by not letting the public become familiar with the new Panorama songs, they play one song over & over. I felt that everyone knows that huge song DNA but not familiar with Boogsie & Kes song "Gimme Everything", which in my view was the best song played at this yrs Panorama. The song itself is a true pannist dream & reminds me of De Fosto's Play Mr Pannist. It was said in the past & i honestly feel that its time to let the spectators judge the Panorama. Its like Fonclaire Pan By Storm loosing by 1/2 pt to Renegades & after the Carnival is over the adamant Pan Lover sits & listens over everything & says "nah boi" they rob Fonclaire. All Stars running 3rd ,4th or 5th in competition but getting the peoples choice prize everytime, You cannot please everyone all the time but is it that the people know more about pan than these Judges. This Last place for Phase 11 was a hard pill to swallow. Smh.
I disagree with your comment, Renegades had a better rendition of that tune than Despers. I agree that Kes song was a better song by far and wish more bands would of pick that tune. And yes, you can't please everyone all the time but, they judges the panoramas by brand names. They should judge by performances and the only way to be fair to all bands is to put the bands behind a curtain without mentioning their names. Band #1,#2,#3 ect. A lot of other bands sounds extremely great, but their names are not popular big band names so they're dismissed as collateral damages. The big names arrangers are always self-imposed expectation to win. The truth is some of those older arrangers needs to upgrade their games because these younger arrangers are turning heads big time.
@@mikkixi1334 So you are ready to just rule out the older arrangers. Some of the young arrangers are arranging music to hype the crowd but musically limited.

@@jasonbest21BP Renegades played the same song way better and tied for 1st place with All Stars. Desperados rendition sounded like they changed the whole song 🫠

For a band of this caliber they should’ve be placed this far but I would agree with the placing judges.
There should be some major changes. I would start with the arranger-nothing personal. There needs to be more vibrant, and creativity in their arrannging. It’s time to move away from this old method of thinking. Be more creative. Zanda, you did an excellent job over the years. I think it’s time to pass torch. Others are moving forward whilst you not.

Nonsense talk...Zanda won the Panorama in 2020 then there was no Panorama in 2021 and 2022....the only time he was out the top 3 was 2023 since he started with Desperadoes in 2016 .
Why do you all never pick on Smooth and BJ Marcelle who have less success than Zanda...tell BJ he should pass the torch .
Many people find the " old method " still better than the NEW ask SMOOTH .
You know what, you guys are really old school and I won’t argue with you. It is of my opinion. And I am entitled.
Why everytime Despers does not come in the top 3 people have to blame the arrangement or the arranger. Prior to 2016 every band was playing own tune and tune of yesteryear. Desperadoes and Zanda brought back party tunes in the panorama and won the competition. From 2017 onwards were party tunes and yesteryear tunes. Every band has their signature style of playing.
