Something I did with mine a while back was make a template that includes all drums set so their tail is reduced when I start working. Ive made a ton of music on the emx, but I really don't like the drum samples. In my opinion, cutting the tail at least a but on them all tightens them up and cleans out some of the excess sound in a track.
Another trick is to switch the drums out the secondary outputs and run them into the audio in on a synth track. Gives you a bit more control over everything.
hey bro, could i do this drum trick using the outputs into the audio in on the MX using a headphone splitter and 2 mono cables?
@@ghost_in_the_robot it would probably work. it's been a while, so maybe send a stereo signal in and make sure it comes out the main out still stereo. no need to over complicate your setup if you're just gonna end up w/ the line in being squished to mono before it leaves the synth track.

Had this thing for 10 years and could never figure out how to copy paste the first bar. I've been trying to figure out if it has velocity but doesn't seem like it.

It was a long time ago 7 years... I was just starting out and yes it sucks. Eventually i will make new series with 1080p that will be far better and edited better
read there was no filter editing on the drums only the synths, true or false?

Question: my emx1 is not allowing me to select the length of drums (1-8) after I’ve started putting in any edits to the drum parts. Any help? As well, I am having trouble getting “shift” to highlight the green lights as 13:35 and repeating my drum parts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bro, do you have the Kaoss Pad synced to the midi out of the EMX-1? Trying to figure out how to use the Roland VT-4 to change scales automatically like a keyboard with note/velocity changes... Any ideas? Thx
Hmmm no idea how vt4 works. Kaoss pad is set as synch to my deluge, never tried w emx1. Thanks for watching!

Sounds like you don't know how to clear the preset patterns. Shift and 8 should clear the pattern for you. Depending on what pattern you're on is all preset.
@@RonCavagnaro if you clear preset pattern is it deleted forever,? If so then do you have to factory reset the machine to get it back?
@@marcelmarechal1420 if it's overwritten it will be gone yes not sure how to reinstall the factory presets but not sure why you would want them ?

Great tutorial but how do you activate the choke group? Setting which drum part will choke which? Does anyone know?

@@RonCavagnaro Aah ok, I'm using the Electribe as a sequencer for my sampler and the last 4 doesn't choke, maybe it doesn't work when just sending out midi data? I figured it would send note off or something.
