I think its often forgotten that Alice is a fiend. She doesn't really fit their design motif but that doesn't mean she should be left out of fiend parties.
I mean, to be fair, CHEMTRAIL is a fiend, too...not all of them fit the design theme unfortunately.
It’d be cool if they did a redesign where she fits the Fiend skeleton motif, but the Alice design is so iconic, they’ll probably never change it.
@@janitorsupreme2364 Maybe a Fiend version as a separate entity might work. It's like the situation with Black Frost & Jack Frost, or Thor & Thor (SMT4) , or Wobbly Mara (SMT3) & Mara.
There are actually several Fiend that does not have Skull design such as En no Ozuno, Ghost Q, and Sage of Times. And then there was SMT 1 Hero, Law Hero and Chaos Hero in SMT If... that classifies them as Fiend

@@juanfoti4795 They are. I fought Red Rider. Even with maxed-out DLC demons, he still killed off my entire team before I even got a turn. I beat him in the rematch, but still....

Whats interesting is that alice is in the fiend class in several of the games.
If you listen to her battle them from SMT If and SMT Imagine you can hear parts of this theme incorporated into it

Dear God...As if one theme by itself wasn't foreboding enough. I'm honestly too scared to imagine (no pun intended) what SMT5's Fiend Theme would sound like!

You are in the future listening to smtV's fiend theme, then you find a vid of it being sped up. The sped up version says "USE BUFFS!" Accompanied by the sound of each fiend makes while attacking or debuffing.

Never thought I would see the day they would all be combined
Remember playing SMTIII as a kid at it's release, where game faqs & playthroughs were not a thing. I was completely in shock when I got sucked into the Matador battle. Reaally struggled to beat the bastard with red capote, but once I finally did I realized what a great game I was getting myself into. It didnt disappoint me, and until this day I think that SMT:Nocturne is hands down, the best JRPG ever made.
I'm amazed how many demons they fit in this game

i always wondered why alice or especially david never made it into nocturne. maybe they got cut?
Alice didn't really seem to fit the theme they were going for, but David is the real mystery.

The correlation between Fiends for the most part is that they are incarnations of death. The original Alice in Shin Megami Tensei was essentially like a Grim Reaper who collected dead people and reanimated them to fill roles as her friends and family, so she fits the bill.
