    Do you like this exercise? Let’s give these variations a try:
    1. You can also play the game without the you’re a stealer option. This makes the game less complicated. In this case, there can be three outcomes: 1. Both cards have split on them, and both people earn one point. 2. One card says steal and the other card says split. The one who wrote steal gets the two points. 3. Both cards say steal, and no one gets a point.
    2. If there are two or more people with the same points, you can let these people play against each other until there is one final winner.
    Can’t get enough of this exercise? In my new book you will find more variations. Plus 100 other team building exercises, including:
    • Extensive explanations
    • Multiple variations
    • The outcome of each exercise
    • And a QR code linked to the corresponding video

    Variation: Can we do the negotiation between the members of each team, acting as a team? Meaning instead of only A and B, its team A vs. team B .... and each team would talk it over before they make their final choice.
    This would be then an exercise on Negotiation and team work.
    What do you think?

      A A yes, that’s a very good variation! Thank you a lot for this :) I’ll put it in the teamexercises book as well!

    What is "you are a stealer" again? This one is confusing. Can you explain this using person A and person B. If person A writes "you are a stealer", is he talking about B being a stealer OR is A describing himself (i.e. A)?

    • @Teamexercises
      @Teamexercises  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thank you for your question! If person a writes down ‘you’re a stealer’ he is talking about person B. If is he is right, and it turns out person B wrote down ‘steal’ on his note card, person A gets all the 2 points. Does that make sense?

    In this exercise are we going to reveal the positions to each member in advance i.e. if both says split they will get a point each and all other such positions?

    • @Teamexercises

      Hi Mohammad, thank you for you question. Yes, they will know what certain positions will have as an outcome.

    Split < Steal < You're a Stealer < Split. Two splits also earn 1 point, whereas 2 Steals or 2 You're a Stealers lead to zero. I'd pick Split. It has the best chance to win mathematically.

    What's the moral of the game?

      @Teamexercises  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's a game in which you will learn how to tell if someone is bluffing and experimenting with negotiation skills. It's a bit like playing poker :)

      Hi Karo, hmm, good question. Do you mean that it's not about points, but about a specific situation?

    • @karogod

      @@Teamexercises or topics. I would like to use this game in my English learning classroom, however, it lacks speaking time for me. I was thinking how we could change/improve it to give students more speaking opportunities during one bluffing turn. Saying "I will write split" etc. is too little a practice.

    • @Teamexercises
      @Teamexercises  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@karogod Ah yes, I get your point. Yes, you can tell them they can go further in the negotiating process regarding the conversation. For example: "I know that I wrote down 'split'. So if you will steal from me, than go ahead. You will win. etc, etc.." The conversations can be very long and layered. If you have another form to let them speak more, please let me know! :)
