I love the "waist" between the two sections of netted rope, this would make a great necklace and look a bit like beaded beads connected by short sections of "waist".

Hi Odin been doing this for years, in the video you say you can't get the ends to match when you go into the herringbone on the other side. Here's what you need to do, instead of starting the herringbone straight away on the other end, do two lots of the double beads on their own stacked but not joined like you would if you had done the herringbone, using the crystals to get to each of the sets, then start the herring bone on top of these, it will now match the other end. I know it sounds odd but trust me it will match. It's because your thread is coming out in a different position when you go into the netting ontop of second to last going into netting but coming out the other side beneath, when it should be between the first and second row. Hard to explain but if you try the above you'll understand. You have some wonderful videos here. xx

Odins Musings You're welcome Odin, hope you understood my method lol.. just to recap do two lots of doubles on top of the single going back through the bicones to reach the next sets, when you have all three sets of doubles then do the regular herringbone, it will now match the previous as you went into the netting xx

Odins Musings I did it :) don't know how to put pics up, but I had a go at the bracelet. Got a bit muddled attaching the clasp, but they aren't my strong point :) Thank you, I shall try something else with this technique now I have it down x

@VCArtisanOriginals It's soooo much fun! kinda reminds me of steampunk/magic power sources or something. I also picture this as a mulit-layered necklace, with the longest layer being opera length. But I haven't the time for that...

As far as you'd like, depending on what you want your piece to look like. I usually go for 1 inch or less. Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for the video great work. But the camera was out of focus and you were working off camera most of the time. By the time the camera had a chance to focus you pulled it away.

Hi I just found your video.tks for the tutorial.
Is there a plan to do full tutorial on how to do the bracelet.I am using 6mm pearls and when starting the transition from netted to herringbone with 4 ,15/0 there is a lot of thread is visible. Can u give me suggestions how to rectify it.tk u very much
The beads I used in this project are 4mm, so what you can do is start with one row of 4mm, then move on to 6mm after. You will need to add more 15/0 seed beads to make up for the larger beads. You can start with 6mm, but you might need to add more beads in the 15/0 herringbone section to make up for the larger beads. Hope this helps! +Christine Birch Yep you can! You might want to start with a row of 4mm to make the transition smoother, and you will also need to add more 15/0 seed beads when you are making the netting to make room for the 6mm beads.

hi there. how are you.? l have a question. how would you reeforce a tubular herringbone rope. l ve made it whit 15/0 toho beads. please give some tips on how to reeforce it. l m not sure about how to do that. l thank you in advance and wish you a blessed and inspired weekend.
Hi there! You can do it in a couple of ways:
First, you can pass through each row of beads again as you make the rope. Basically pretend that you are making another herringbone stitch without adding any beads.
Second, you can do it after your project is finished, add a new thread, and simply sew through each column once more.
