Great peace of mind, easy setup and works well. Rather spendy, but the offset to a failure in your water pump system is more catastrophic in the end.

From what I learnt it cant since it relies on your wifi for communication. I have been trying to setup a reliable system since last month and haven't found any product that does it all. Long run a water powered sump pump as backup is the best which is known to have the least chance of failure if tested annually. Its still nice to have something like this for alerts. And someone as paranoid as me would setup additional backup to the wifi based alerts with maybe a "pumpalarm system" that uses 4G to send SMS alerts :)
