Cody Garbrandt will forever be my favorite fighter because of what he did for Maddox. No matter his record or the goats before and after him, he is a hero for what he did.
"...both ladies decided that that night they will feast on CTE and nose bleeds" is not only one of the greatest sentences written in MMA journalism but in world literature in its best
The thing about Tony , no matter how much i want to see him win i don't want to see him fight anymore. Watching that paddy fight live hurt my soul , i really can't see him get hurt anymore man just retire...
The Justin gaethje fight with tony hurt my soul . I watched that fight with a lot of Justin fans and I just sat there and watched my favorite fighter get absolutely demolished and it was 1 of the worst things I’ve ever witnessed. Sad to say Tony’s fighting spirt died in that cage that night . I get excited when a Tony fight gets announced and sad at the same time cuz I agree .
@@TheTruthBrew313 Tony was just way too tough , he was getting straight beat on for half an hour and could not basicaly do anything in there. He said he had a wrestle camp but didn't even shoot a takedown , maybe thing would have been doffrent if he did
Cody Garbrandt--that's a dude I thought would last a bit (relatively speaking in UFC)...5-6 title defenses or so. He came up so fast, looked so good, and from start to finish he destroyed Dominic Cruz in their fight; this was incredible for that time. But it never happened. Still a great fight to watch and will never forget the shock I felt when he beat Cruz.
Bro, the khabib couldn't make weight in one fight and couldn't leave out of Russia for another fight they boomed, the only fight that Tony ducked was that one time where he ripped his all backstage before the match
Pre-diverticulitis Lesnar was a monster. Even Javier Mendez the head trainer at AKA who trained DC, Cain Velasquez, and Khabib said in an interview if he could have gotten hold of Lesnar at a younger age and brought his weaknesses up he could have been one of the greats. Can you imagine Brock with good striking and striking defense? Jesus.
Probably the most mythical of all fighters who ever lived, is Randy Couture, where in boxing it's Jorge Foreman, in Foreman's case, God gave his wife the vision through a dream that Foreman would become champion again which they didn't understand at first because he failed to get the belt, but later on in his mid 40's he became a Boxing Champion again
Good video. Great background music 😉 On another note. Looking through this video reminds me of how some sayings are so very true. Want, although a powerful thing, has nothing on need. Such a difference between wanting something to happen, and something that must happen. And perhaps it's not entirely tied to worldly circumstances, but a mindset that can be found when things are just that important to you. Though it's probably easier to let doubt in when you haven't burned the boats so to speak.
@@MixedMartialAcademic Hey mate do you feel like the UFC is losing its shine? There's a ton of the big stars in their late 30's that will retire soon and I don't see the replacements being PPV generators. Look how hard they're pushing Poatan because he has star power, bums on seats power. Suga is a great fighter but he's very marmite.
Calm down guys he aint in his prime yet. Just wait a little longer, possibly a few more hits to the head, and we'll be seeing tony ankle pick the whole roster
Polo-Blue Rockhold. Before left hook Larry’s vengeance, Rockhold had a very short run where he really did look nearly perfect on paper. He’s a bonafide talent in gi & no gi taking hardware at lower belts at both worlds and PanAms. And has arguably the best question mark kick I’ve ever seen inside the octagon. I would say of every single hyped talent entering the ufc, there’s not a single one who had a tougher debut. The peak of TRTor as we now know and Luke was dispatched in my eyes the most brutal single devastating shot by the highest caliber operator of all the clean KOs in ufc history. Not saying Belfort was the best but it was the most powerful type of shot you can deliver, landed the cleanest, from the biggest juicer. That took a lot off his career imo. But he’d bounce back and look crazy good with versatile wins and looked like the heir apparent. He went from brilliant striking one fight to inverted triangle kimura’s the next. Took the belt, started dating Demi Lovato, and literally became the face of Ralph Lauren’s cologne. I mean love him or hate him gd this guy for a brief period had it all. And honestly all that coupled with the short notice nature of his rematch with Bisping is probably what made him drop his guard literally and figuratively to lose it all. It wasnt a hype train derailed either. Luke was real. But he was pushing 30 upon his ufc debut. Around that tim Kennedy fight was nearing his prime hence why I mentioned the significance of the timing of TRTor . Swap that fight with someone clean end he brutalizes them likely changing the trajectory for the better. He had to take a medical suspension and then didn’t fight for 8 months after a debut loss which is a long time then rattled off 5 wins in 16 months including stopping prime Weidman on a menacing title run defending thrice and was only the second man (1st being Jon Jones) to ever submit Machida of his entire 38 fight career. If he kept his head on and focused and GSP dared to be great again choosing to comeback to Luke instead of Michael, at that time a focused Luke beats the near unbeatable form of post-Sera Georges. And I call GSP the goat so it’s no small claim. He wasn’t afraid of anyone either opting to fight both Yoel and Costa when they were known to very dangerous entities that many ppl ducked including Bisping. Chuffed to see he won the fans back finally. Anyway, that’s my vote for a different variation of this list. Well done!

Lesnar was roided on pretty much all his fights along with most of other fighters at the time😂. But diverculities was indeed a game changer. Dude used to be inactive for years trying to recover. When he returned for first time after diverculities, he was literally showing signs of slowing down. Barely managed to survive and beat Shane. Then another mythical fighter future goat Cain before injuries arrived and beat nolonger mythical Brock. Brock then got back the diverculities again had his colon removed, returned again but then got kneed to hell by another mythical fighter horsemeat ubereem. Pretty sure ubereem's knee to Brock's stomach which just had made recovery of having his colon removed because of diverculities traumatized him and made him retire😂.

Cody’s performance will never be topped. He didn’t just beat a champion, he beat the GOAT. And it wasn’t just a win, it was a clinic.
