Hey Jeff thanks for the Air Show update, it saddens me to hear this so many businesses depend on the air show. I always say if Atlantic City was in another state it would be bigger and better then Vegas. Have a Happy New Year to you and to all your followers
Here's the thing with Landshark ... The beach bar was pretty much wiped away and did not open this past summer, maybe 2025. The Landshark restaurant was closed due to utility damage done by a boardwalk fire. It re-opened this past summer and is doing fine! (Talk about bad luck ... flooding and fire!) Thanks for watching Robert! Happy New Year!
It's fun waking up at 3am at Ocean, looking out the window, and see them working on the beach for this spring and summer. I wonder if you can hear them working on the beach ?!
We were just there. had a short walk from Hardrock up to Ocean casino.. The people sleeping on the boardwalk and others asking for money was disappointing. Zero police presence also as usual.
I liked when many beaches had stone jeddies every two blocks in the seventies and eighties I guess for some reasons beach replenishment every five years is the better way.
How were they able to find workers willing to work the graveyard shift in winter? that would be impossible to achieve here in G.B do you know when you will be retiring? at what age?
You know, Richard, about 4 weeks ago, we had a brick fall out of our NY City apartment building (incidentally, I'm directly across the street from the Bronx Zoo, 4th floor, and LOL, I've never seen an animal out my window), and the fire department came and made sure there weren't any loose bricks. Around midnight, they came and put up scaffolding around the 6-floor building and worked until the wee hours of the morning. Christmas Eve, around 1am, I heard an awful noise outside. The building next to us had a brick fall out. Within hours, (NY City must have an emergency crew ready to go for such a thing!}, they were putting up scaffolding, which is loud because putting up scaffolding requires pipes being clanged together and wood being measured and cut. It was a racket. The zoo is only closed 3 days a year, I guess (never on Easter or July 4th, I don't think), so I thought with Christmas Day being the next day, and knowing the zoo is closed for Christmas, I thought it was the zoo doing some necessary repairs, but I found out the next morning what it was. Who knew there's emergency crews to put up scaffolding even at 2am on Christmas Eve if a brick falls from a city building?
@@richardhales92 Mind boggling to say the least. Green Bay's tallest buildings are St. Vincent Hospital and Monroe Plaza Apts. both are 10 stories. i live in Monroe Plaza on the 9th fl. last summer a large facade panel fell off and they still don't have it fixed yet.
@@richardsanty9063 Wow! I'd think Green Bay had big, tall buildings! I hope they get to fixing it! Somethings going on in Miami; I don't know what I read; are the buildings sinking? Something about trying to get people out of their buildings because the buildings are sinking & people don't want to go? Trump before he was president, I thought he was nice because he bought an old hotel on 59th and Park Av, the Deuville, I think it is, and converted it into condos (Matt Lauer, remember him, he had a place there) and he let a friend of mine, an interior designer who had lived there for 30 years, stay at a reduced rate. Trump had offered him a million dollars and my friend didn't take the offer (I don't know if he thought Trump would offer more money or, knowing my friend, he wouldn't mind staying at a combo of the rich and famous). To be fair, I think when someone buys a hotel in New York City, there has to remain a certain number of rooms as a hotel, but I'm not sure that's a law. Anyways, my friend said Trump could have tried to force him out, though it takes time and maybe bad publicity, if that's something he worries about, LOL
Atlantic City suffers from mainly being a seasonal destination. I honestly don't know how they do it? I'm sure the Borgata still does pretty good. Must be tough having a business there. I hope to make it down this weekend for football, to help support these places. I honestly feel bad about it. DO AC
@s99614 right. At the Borgata. Boardwalk dead. Like I said, for events, holidays, Superbowl. I've been down there enough for the past 35 years to see for myself.
Weed, marijuana might help when a gambler is playing at the slots for those who need to 'calm down.' I took an antihistamine once and I did pretty good playing the slots, though I was a bit drowsy.
@@NuYawk I know a lot of people believe 'it's random,' but I really believe the slot machine wasn't sure if I was tired or if I was bored. (I certainly was slow, LOL)

My husband and I just stayed at Ocean and saw the dredging project. We like AC in the Winter. I grew up in Woodhaven Queens.
Glad you had a good visit and thanks for watching! Happy New Year!
Happy Holidays Jeff!!! Thanx for this video ... I was curious about this time of year regarding the boardwalk
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Happy New Year WiseMalik!

YEAH! THE LANDSHARK. IS SAVED. FOR AWHILE "-)
Hope so! Thanks for watching and subscribing MyExperiencedOpinion!
It's nice having insight on the casino's beach projects.
Thanks for watching Richard! Have an awesome weekend!
Ocean is the best hotel in AC. Originally the plan was to build two towers. The garden patio area covers what was going to be a lazy river pool.
Yes. You can see the beginning of the base of the second tower from The Park. Thanks for watching and subscribing! Happy New Year!
Beach replenishment is always welcome!

hey Jeff if memory serves the Lank shark bar was hit pretty hard in 2024 so I would be suprised if they open back up in 2025

Cant hear them from the high floors of the hotels.
The two towers at Hard Rock look different because the newer one has floor to ceiling windows
Since I’m not familiar with AC, is beach dredging…time, a slow one? It seems like it would be given that there may not be much to see.
Sorry Dan, I don't understand the question. Try again?
@NuYawk is there a season, yearly, where they do beach dredging? Like a season for it?
One of the stores mid-boardwalk has warm or hot roasted peanuts. If you find the store, can you give them a shoutout.
That would be Peanut World. Been there forever. They're in the video.

You forgot to show one of those "I pooped today" T-shirts on display for sale on the boardwalk.

I'm sure they are well compensated for their hours! LOL! No retirement date/age yet, but looking forward to it!
