great help. was about to call (outside of warranty) a tech after the useless help from LG. freezer had power, ice and lights were working, and no kinked hoses. thought we'd need new valve, mother board, etc. then i found this vid and turns out the coiled hose at back of fridge, behind crisper drawer, was frozen. blow dryer worked like a charm!! easy-peasy...THANKS!

How do you get the air out? I think this is also my problem after changing the filter. The water comes out slowly and then dies completely after 3 seconds
Thank you so much for creating this video. I was able to quickly get the water and ice dispensers to work again. You saved me lots of money today. Thanks again and God bless!
As a single mother on a budget, thank you. I didn’t put the filter in correctly, so the water stopped dispensing. I checked the line behjnd the refrigerator, and it was skitting water. I believe air was in the line. I unplugged the fridge, turned off the valve, and then tightened the connectors. I removed the filter, poured out the water, refilled it, then I put it back in correctly. That fixed the problem. Thank You, Lord, for directing me to this video because the others I watched were so confusing.

Our fridge suddenly stopped dispensing water. We’ve had it for a little under a year, recently changed the filters, it hasn’t moved since we installed it, the ice still dispenses but the water doesn’t. Not gonna lie this vid didn’t get me any closer to knowing what’s going on

This is exactly what has happened to us today. We have had ours for years. In addition to the water not dispensing, water will leak from the top left corner of our door (dispensing side) either when we try to dispense water or at times idly. Also been having difficulty finding answers online. Were you able to get any answers?
Ha. We just got ours yesterday. And this morning no water. It never even started to make ice. My husband is pissed that we just spend 3k on a fridge that doesn’t work!! We specifically got it for the water dispenser.
Informative video. The video prompted me to check the water line under the kitchen sink. That reminded me that I shut all valves when replacing the garbage disposal weeks ago🎉
We have LG LRMDC2306S. During first month we’ve had 4 service visits for craft ice maker not working. Each service call reveals the water feed line to the ice maker is frozen solid although the freezer temp is set at +4F. We added two thermometers into the freezer that log temp and they both show 4F so temp sensor is good. Does the craft ice maker line have a heater/defrost? Latest tech wants to switch out water feed line but by this point we have zero confidence LG know how to build a fridge.
:58 are you hearing a humming noise? You explain "If you are hearing a humming noise..it means the valves are energized, etc". I'm not hearing a humming noise on mine. I disconnected the water line from the back and there's definitely water coming out of the wall to the fridge, but no humming noise. What does that mean? Bad valve?
@@CJ-vs5sl Yes. after replacing the water inlet valve in the back, the water began flowing to the water dispenser! But then, I wasn''t getting ice. Water was dispensing fine, but no ice! So I replaced the inlet valve in the door, too, then that didn't get me ice, So finally, I replaced the ice maker part (about 150 bucks). Works perfectly now!
I just bought a new LG french door refrigerator am I'm not getting any water. Filter is in and I hear a humming sound. The line is coming off of my RO system that is in the basement. Thoughts? Thanks

We've had LRFWS2906S /00 working for a couple years, yesterday was still working perfectly fine. Today, started dispensing just few a couple drops, then none at all seconds later. Humming sound present, water supply untouched / no kinks or the like. Control not locked. Doors closed. Replaced filter. That didnt work. Like mentioned we've used it and has been working fine until today. What else could it be? Cheers.

I have an older LG refrigerator now if the filter is old will the water not dispense because I checked everything and everything lines up getting a new well help?
I do not get water at the front bottom of my refrigerator line. I suspect that water hose may come off the water reservoir tank, which is not frozen, but the water level is below the upper and lower inlet/outlet tubes. But why is my water reservoir not being filled? I have a new water valve and proper water pressure. Water is feeding the ice maker. No water is being dispensed. Suggestions? I changed my water filter to new. I changed my water valve to new. My water selection is not providing water, but instead, churning ice. Could the water, crushed, cubed computer board be defective?
Good thoughts. Also consider if your filter and the input to it freezes. Replace the filter, hair dryer for a few minutes into the opening for the filter…voila…clear line (that’s what happened to me).

My problem is not that the water will not dispense, the problem is it will not stop. We have to push the lock button you mention to stop and start the water. Meaning when it is unlock the water flows non stop. Any suggestions?
My issue was no water, but holding down the water dispenser and opening the door it’d dispense water for a second or two. Tricking the sensor with a magnet, I figured out it’d only dispense water for a few seconds when the door was open 30%, none closed, and none full open when tricking the hall sensor with a magnet. I pulled the top cover off the hinge by removing the one Phillips head screw and pulling up on the cover. I pushed the waterline (wrapped in a metal spring like covering) into the door about 1/4” or so as there wasn’t much room and I got consistent water regardless of the angle of the door when tricking the sensor. Water dispenser worked as advertised after that little adjustment, put it all back together and working solid. I hope this helps someone in the future, thanks for the video to help guide my troubleshooting!

Hi, there. We appreciate your question regarding this matter. If the water inlet valve and control board appear to be working properly, but you still don't hear the humming sound, there could be an issue with the dispenser lever switch or wiring harness not detecting when the lever is pressed. Hi there. We regret to hear about the water dispensing issue with your LG refrigerator. To address this issue, please check that the water supply valve is fully open and inspect for kinks in the water line.
