Hi Jim, thanks, knowing people are looking forward to trip videos helps motivate us to get some done. Unfortunately we can't believe how quickly the summer has flown by, and things are going to start getting busy here again very soon. We do have a big backlog of years worth of footage, and keep telling ourselves we'll get to editing it "soon"...
These toboggans are designed to be able to follow your snowshoe tracks in even very deep, soft powder, so they are made very narrow (~ 35cm). AS a result of how narrow they are, you need to keep the load nice and low to maintain stability, so they tend to get long instead (to keep the load narrow and low). You could make a shorter toboggan, it would be no problem of course, and would be very easy to maneuver, but it wouldn't haul a really big load, so it depends on what you plan to use it for!
Yes, once complete, these can still be rolled quite tight (~ 24"/ 60cm diameter x 16"/ 40cm cylinder) for transport. This is most easily done if you pre-warm the toboggan to room temperature before rolling.
Dave, thank you very much for making this video - extremely helpful and easy to follow.
Any chance of seeing any trip videos? I sure enjoy watching them

Can you deliver twice the width?
A general thought. Once this is completed can it be rolled up again for transportation in a car or boat?
