And for you to state that he's only 22 and suggest that he doesn't have a fully enough developed brain to not do stupid bs over and over makes no sense at all. That's just an excuse to give someone a free pass on being responsible for their own actions. At 22 years old, he knows the difference between right and wrong. But, some people never learn and keep making stupid decisions until it costs them or someone else's life. Be proactive, not reactive.

Too hot outta the gate???? Nope. Maybe not hot enough. The Vikes have a ton invested in this kid and he's pissing on it like it "Ain't no big thang." They have every right to be super pissed at him. I doubt they cut him but, honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they're already trying to trade him and ultimately end up cutting him if they can't. This is not a culture to be reinforced in that locker room. After the tragic death of Khyree, this sort of behavior can not be tolerated. It shouldn't be anyway, but to do this in the shadow of that tragedy shows a remarkable lack of self reflection and control.
After doing basically nothing visible last year when he was doing 145 in Minneapolis, KoC needs to make this punishment severe and highly visible. KoC even used the speeding incident as a freaking punchline in a couple pressers, which I thought was rather tasteless and demonstrated a lack of awareness on his part. smh. KoC can't let this slide. No matter what, the punishment will likely be pretty severe and Mark Wilf may very well be the one telling KoC to get a handle on his locker room and laying out minimums for KoC.
In all likelihood a suspension and some sort of fine could be in the cards depending on what the league finds out. That being said, any long term plans the Vikings may have had for Addison could be history. From a coach and management point of view, its difficult to trust someone who's shown to have the pattern of behavior that Addison has showed. Do they trade for someone? i doubt it, but Kwesi Adofo Mensah has gone against the grain before, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did swing a trade for a premiere WR to pair with Jefferson. Its too bad to see Addison put himself in a hole like this. But hopefully this time he'll realize the path that he's headed down and change. They dont call the NFL the "Not For Long" league for nothing.

Falling asleep IN a lane is wild. There was a 30 second deceleration where he made no attempt to get on the shoulder.
The lack of a BAC (blood alcohol content) reading released could be due to a refusal to provide a breath or blood sample. Since Addison was found asleep behind the wheel of his car. His DUI arrest was a misdemeanor charge so CHP wouldn’t need to seek a search warrant to force a blood draw if Addison refused chemical testing. He could be booked on a chemical test refusal for a misdemeanor DUI and prosecuted based on the testimony of a CHP (or LAPD traffic officer had he been found on a surface street in LA) officer

His comments after the Vikings called him upon drafting him (Let's get paid!)... driving 140 mph in a 55 mph area... and his "Rolls Royce" parked and blocking a lane of traffic in the L.A. area - passed out or asleep... and that last incident happening a week after a rookie teammate and others are killed in an ugly incident on a freeway..... Utterly clueless and self entitled. He SHOULD be suspended by the NFL and the Vikings for multiple games... Three to six games minimum.

Honestly, betting on a young man to be a developed adult is foolish. What do you get for employing this young man? Incredible production. JJ is an anomaly, like Jerry Rice. Clean cut and wants to work forever. That’s why he was given the bag. Addison is more like Micheal Irving: ready to work and play hard. And that is what he is. Can we be happy with that? I can. Will he continue to do dumb shit? You bet ya. He plays in the nfl, where people literally get broken for a living. His life is a bit more extreme than a normal 22 year old. This chapter is his life is going to be a dope story to tell on a podcast. But he’s having the time of his life and he’s going to do the same things we all did: totally dumb shit. There’s no other way. He is who he is. I’d still take him over Thielen bc he’s way better. We can’t have an entire team of Boy Scouts. And, yes, he was arrested for DUI, but, and this is serious: he wasn’t driving. He literally flipped a switch and stopped driving when he knew he shouldn’t be. Granted, wrong place to stop. But he didn’t keep going. He didn’t hurt anyone and he did the right thing. Sure, he won’t have a license for another year, but that is a good thing.

No they are not. Both greatly impair driving, and it's illegal to drive after either of them.
It is. Their both considered dui. They both impair your ability to drive. And to do this after your teammate was killed in a similar accident just makes it that much worse.
