Thanks for watching - yes that is correct, however, I have a crank bushing and ball bearing which have different ID's, so measuring the ID is challenging while mounting the case. As you see at the end of the video I did some checks, the gasket surface is indeed parallel to the crank centerline. In this case (no pun intended) the base was parallel to the centerline from the factory
Would it not be better to indicate off the crank centerline to ensure the cylinder base surface is parallel?
