@@turnermd1302 my grandpa served in ww2. He was a diver and they would disarm the bombs so subs didn’t hit them. Also flew a plane. Said he never had a license for either. Dad was in desert storm but he died when I was 6.

Blueprint for Armageddon is really really worth a listen to. Most folks don’t know much in depth about WWI.
Very true. I learned a lot from that series. And it deepens your understanding of WW2 learning about what led up to it.

Being in any of the major ww1 battles (marne, somme, verdun, pashendale, etc) would have been the worst situation for any human to have been in.

You understand that the Geneva convention is because of us Canadian’s 🇨🇦 during World War I and 2. We are ruthless against our enemies and always get to deal with harder assignments than anyone else. Storming the beaches we took Juno and then worked our way to help out other allied forces to storm their beaches
Then you guys elected the biggest pussy to ever draw a breath of air and got crushed by the COVID war of 2020. How the mighty have fallen.
Also in WW1 we'd capture like a few miles (which was unheard of) we'd break the German lines we'd have the French or English following us meant to hold the captured area while we continue the offensive. But they'd retreat so quickly the Canadians had to abandon the mission to retake the same places from the opposite direction a couple times or they'd get cutoff from the allies.

If you have any interest in in WW1 and want to hear from the boys who were really there while seeing original footage in a way seems like it could have beeen filmed yesterday, watch :They Shall Not Grow Old" . It doesn't get more real than the accounts from this movie. Remastered volorized footage coupled with amazing audio (lip reading coupled with time period and geographically appropriate accents amd dialects) brings the old janky footage to life. All of a suddenthos old hlack and white janky footage that looks 120 years old turns to something that could have been posted on instagram last week. The audio is all taken from interviews and letters of veterans who were there and did what they wrre ordered to do. Even if that meant shooting a mortaly wounded conrade with his eyeballs hanging out before fragging and clubing an enemy grunts skull into minced meat during an assault.
