@damon6086 hanzos position on the winrate ladder scales inversely with rank. He is the lowest winrate character only in Masters and GM. What I'm saying makes perfect sense because its true. Hanzos util as a 1 shot character has long been removed due to unreasonable nerfs. And his arrow hitbox has also been reduced. I was a high masters/t500 console and moved to pc and was also put in high gold/low plat Can immediately see all the awful decisions people make and why they are the rank they are, but at the same time i will have the worst aim in the lobby as im not good on mouse
Once, when I was playing Mercy, I had an Ana on my team who was NOT my duo. She nanoed our Winston, and he literally stood there and did nothing until after it ran out (Ana's first nano that game). EVERY nano after that was given to me, lol. The first time I thought she was trying to give it to one of our DPS or something, so I made sure the next time she had nano, I was no where near (read super jumping to stay aloft) the rest of our team mates. I still got nanoed. I did get a few kills with nano, but I mostly used them as buffers to get tricky reses off.
it's been interesting seeing the wide range of players through these spectatings, there's the people that think everything is the fault of their teammates whereas in actuality they have a lot they could be doing better, and then there's the people who think everything is their fault when in actuality most of it is team-wide issues
i moved to pc after a lifetime of only console gaming like 4 months ago and i dropped from gold 1 to bronze 4 and i only got to bronze 1 two days ago and im still trying to get out of there lol someone save me
Everything is done faster on PC. It will take some time. Check your graphics settings because sometimes they switch to high randomly. Make sure you're in full-screen mode. 😊 I de ranked just by having graphics settings too high. Also PC has less latency in full screen which makes a way bigger difference than some think.
A major venture critique is to not underestimate the power of the burrow. It's more of an engagement tool and does crazy damage, plus you're faster than most heros in it. Using it to pop up on your target, especially a sniper like Hanzo, does like half their health and after a drill, shot, and melee, they're dead with zero chance unless they got help. I really don't recommend underground drill dash when looking for an attack because it's the only actual escape tool (burrow works but it's slow and you need to do more than just press it often leading to death when you rely on it). If you don't see a good dive in burrow, are in the open, and it runs out, having no drill dash means death. Or if you did find a target, that drill is vital to sealing the deal. Finally, abuse the crap outta that melee. 75 damage over a short time is powerful, especially when you have no ammo or a discorded rein with their shield up.
I play on both, PC players have lower damage overall but quick reactions .On console, you just shoot one target then their healing won’t keep up eventually.Positioning is the key difference.
He still has a habit that took me almost a whole year to break after starting to play on PC! Using your character movement to augment your aim. It's a crippling handicap for a for a former console player because you can only go in 4 directions and at full tilt.
@@heartcoma I meant using movement and look to aim almost equally. Replacing a second analog input with 4 buttons severely hampers how accurate that method is
Totally agree. Even if positioning and timing are there, the fine aim is not. It is a matter of time and adjustments for this person's aim to improve. I did it, having been a console only player until 2016... ...when this game came out. I see him also not using cover much. If you read this, Tracer player, my tag is #aWay#11650. I main Tracer too.
it's so crazy to me that gamers still don't understand that playing shooters on a controller versus a mouse is going to be a night and day difference. it is not possible to have anywhere near the same level of precision with a controller as you can with a mouse, unless the game in question has aim assist akin to a black hole that pulls your reticle straight to your oppositions head.
Yup. I’ve never played on PC but I’ve played against them on OW & different shooters. The difference is mnk players tend to react way faster to situations due to sensitivity, that’s why high mobility char are so strong on console. The amount of times a tracer or genji wrecks my back line because people can’t track them
@@JustARandomInternetUserHere lol, thats valid. and yeah its definitely slower. i only played the console version once at a friends place, and on pc my tracer is pretty deadly, but on console i spent maybe 30 seconds to a minute blinking around while neither my opponent or i could get enough bullets into each other to end a fight so it was just a bunch of flashy stalemates.
Mechanics sound. Actual problems: 1) disrespecting the Sonic Arrow 2) bad positioning... Cuts through the middle of the enemy team - doesn't look both ways before they cross the street. Turns their back on enemies.
I'm the same. Diamond/Master on console without much difficulty, but absolutely no mechanical skill on PC, which means I can see every mistake but I just can't properly punish people for it. The worst part is that once I focus in on my aim, my performance begins to worsen. It's incredibly frustrating.
I had the exact same experience, while it’s easier to aim with the mouse it takes time to have to adjust to all the buttons being different; that fraction of a second that you take to work out where the right key is really throws you off. PC players are also more accurate, which is another adjustment. When I moved over I wasn’t paying competitive but must have gone 5-50 and it just didn’t seem like the game was ever going to realise that I wasn’t the same player on PC. In the end I quit the game for a year but came back recently and have caught the upswing as I’ve acclimatised and am now dumpstering my opponents, winning 80% of my games as my mechanics are catching up to my game sense.
I swapped to PC and went from plat to silver. The skill ceiling is just higher on PC so you basically lose 1000 SR. If I had been put in PC plat when I first swapped, I would've been way out of my depth.
Mechanically he was good, however as Tracer, I would have focused more on supports; DPS and tanks tend to fall over easily without heals (in a team fight, which is typically when I engage)
After playing OverWatch for 6 years I got a PC last summer and my rank didn't change until this past summer. My biggest suggestion to you if you want to get better other than mouse settings and getting more space for your mouse movement would be to use either a smaller keyboard controller or something like an azaron gamepad. It simplifies your movement to a game stick, and still gives you the ability to hit all of the buttons for voice lines call outs etc. Azarron cyborg compact was what I got and I'm going to get the second version with the hall effect joystick eventually but it's totally not necessary except for longevity. I fully recommend those gamepads and I know that they're expensive but it'll improve your game more than tweaking some settings or getting a new graphics card for sure. I play with masters and Grand Masters in QP And I haven't really touched comp in a little bit. But I've gotten to high diamond.
Kinda just looked like their team was getting decimated by cass and hanzo Targeting could use work or stuff here and there like emongg said, but kinda just looked like one of those games

Number one thing as tracer is to focus the low targets and I don't feel like you started doing that.. ever. Spatial awareness is low, Maybe get a better headset? Also lowering the quality settings for the things around you might help cuz it does help some people. Waiting more than a millisecond after you send your pulse out so you don't die when you flash back it's also a thing you can do...
The sounds really counterintuitive but for some people on tracer if you have mouse acceleration turned on it can be very disorientating Make sure that's turned off in your windows settings. Some people turn it on on purpose and it helps them so again tweak your settings for your mouse in Windows.. If your mouse also has proprietary software that you can install and tweak more settings then do that... Some mice allow you to turn the DPI way above what Windows will default at.. this is fine as long as you Make sure you have the setting in overwatch switched appropriately depending on how high your DPI is..
