    I definitely have achieved a whistle tone by accident but I can’t seem to achieve it when I want to. Perhaps I’ve not given it enough time. Thanks for explaining this technique.

      Maria Davis It’s definitely worth trying. Always start from a very soft note. The amount of air needed for whistle tones is very minimal.

    After wome years playing flute still i have problem and fear about the low c sometimes it comes out and sometimes there is no sound however i direct the air down or suddenly i play its harmonic notes please help if u can and guide me to play low c quick and clear

      reza jamshidi if you are getting higher harmonics, you might be too tense in the lips or somewhere else. Release the jaw and blow down. Also careful that you are not rolling your flute in too much. It’s hard to say without seeing what you’re doing. But splitting notes up is usually from tension

      @@Rodflute thank you for guidance yes you are right i have tension specially when i change octaves for example when i go from high B to the low c i play the harmonics because my lips remains with tension that i build for piano high B.its hard to try playing high notes softly then start an strong low notes like D and C is a good technique to take more flexiblity for changing the octaves?
