My dad bought me one exactly like that one on June 8th 1973 ….and on June 10th 1973 my older brother which was 22 years old at that time wanted to just ride it down the street about a 1/4 of a mile … so he rode down to the neighbors driveway and turned around and came back… when he turned back into our driveway’ a car tried to pass him and ran over him and killed him on the spot… that was the worst day of my life… awesome bike thanks for the video buddy….
This was my first bike when I was 10, paint scheme, turn signals and everything. I'm 56 now and still ride a Yamaha. 2006 Yamaha Stratoliner S. I miss that 'lil GT 80. My Dad taught me how to ride it verbatim. He never got on the bike, he just talked me through it. I sure wish I could own this bike again... and hear my Father's voice once more.
@@dangalli1 it sounds like you have a lot of good memories with it. Bikes sure have a way of making impacts on people. I hear you on wanting to be able to hear your Father’s voice again. I lost my father almost 6 years ago. I’m actually working on making a video restoring the bike he passed on.
I really love the yellow! Motorcycle man’s bike is yellow and so is our 1967 bug. Yes! It’s running! Great video Moon🌝 I agree with our friend Lonna, perfect music choices.
@@Lifeinthewyldewest that is so cool! I love that his bike and your bug match. Those are the coolest cars, you’re super lucky to have one! I bet it’s fun to drive. Thank you! Picking music is my favorite part of the editing process 😊 I feel that it helps tell the story.
I had one of these my first bike. got it from Santa in about 78. Yellow without the lights and indicators the later Yamaha graphics. Loved it went hard on it in the Australian bush. Stayed in the family for years and had a few sets of rings and thats all.

Oh man I’m so sorry, that’s horrible. They say time heals all wounds but that’s not true. I’m sorry you lost a brother. God bless you

@@Liberty_Ranch it was so much fun to drive. Now it’s on non opp on the side of the house:( we have way too many cars.
@@Lifeinthewyldewest maybe not a bad problem to have! 😆
Has that early 70s Yamaha sound. Kid down the street from me had a 74 125 of this bike in the late 80s early 90s.
You never forget that sound! Good memories 👍
I did a double take looking at your subscriber count. The production quality on the video is great. Cool stuff!
@@d_lan_ Hey thanks for the encouraging comment! We’re just starting out and having fun in the process. Thanks for watching 😊

@@Liberty_Ranch That was a great video
Grate little 2 stroke always ran and quiet
Yeah I was honestly pretty impressed with how quiet it was for a 2 stroke

That’s awesome! Oh very nice sounds like it was the Mx version instead of the enduro. Hopefully it’s still running and getting good use!

Lots if fun tourq was good
I was definitely impressed 👍
