Hey Coach Justin, I was wondering if you could make a video about how to run an efficient practice. You can describe it for the different levels, but I'm looking for drills to run with 12-15 year-olds with a team of 12 players. I like circuit practices, but I'm curious what you think would work.
Great videos!! My coaches and I enjoy watching and implementing them into our practices for our 9-10 year olds. I would love to see some trick plays for little league if you have a few. :)
Thank you so much! I'm glad you guys enjoy watching and implementing everything. That's awesome! I don't have any trick plays that come to mind, but I'll see what I can come up with.
That's a great video idea. I'll try to do a new video on that topic soon. In the meantime, you might find value in this one: th-cam.com/video/EbQc9NDEpRk/w-d-xo.html
Hey Justin this might sound stupid but I need your help. So at practice the other day I could catch the grounders, the pop flys, and the back hands. But for some reason most of the ones coming from my chest and natural side of my glove hand (so no backhand) kept hitting me in the palm and not landing In the pocket of my glove. Any tips on how to fix that?
Hmmm. Are you focusing on fielding the ball on the long hop or short hop? That's the first thing I'd make sure you're doing. You'll get into trouble when you start fielding the "tweener hops." Check out this video for a little further explanation on that: th-cam.com/video/yfytV33rmqQ/w-d-xo.html
Ultimate Baseball Training just like normal throws they don't land in the pocket but it's only on the natural side, pop ups grounders and backhands are fine
I'll try to make a more detailed video on this soon! A couple tips are to be patient, learn the strike zone, and consistently put together quality at-bats!
No, I don't think you NEED to play travel ball. I think if you play regular high school ball you'll just need to be proactive in the recruiting process. Don't wait for coaches to come find you. You have to make the effort.
Hey Coach Justin , um so i have a problem in batting , I am a Sophomore Baseball player in High School , I play RF and I basically got the fielding down already , BUT im not so good at batting in general , so when I go to the plate , I strike out every time either going down not swinging or going down swinging , but I mostly never (or afraid I guess) to swing the bat because Idk if I wanna swing or not and I cant tell too good if the pitch is a ball or a strike , but yesterday we had a game and I swung but still struck out but i feel good at least I swung , because i usualy dont swing , and my coach always takes me out after i play once in the field and one at bat , but I think its cuz I strike out every time , so I'm trying to change that , so I can play the whole game , every game , but the coaching here isnt good at all , they coach horribly , but my goal is to make it to the MLB and hopefully the Houston Astros but I don't feel like I can with this hitting problem I have , do u have anything for me that can help me swing and recignize pitches get hits in a game , I would REALLY appreciate it Thanks
Ultimate Baseball Training Appreaciate it man , I'll watch it and I'll see if i have anymore questiones after , cuz I was lookinh for a video like this , I just couldnt find it

Do u think I need to play travel ball in high school to get looked at by colleges I live in northern Illinois if that effects anything
