I'm a 69 year old veteran every time I hear the USMC
Band(s) I'm charged with a
Lifetime of memories, Most don't feel growing to adulthood as a
Marine Corp Brat. We would watch them parade and play
Practically every weekend during the Summer months at MCAS Cherry Point , NATC Patuxent River and in Arlington VA. The Band in itself is enough to make ones heart welm with Pride for this great country. They played as my father crossed the gang plank into service of the Lord. Semper Fi to the Proud, Always Fathful Members of the USMC
No matter what I love watching Marines march because they are the best no questions asked!
Could not agree more!
The late Colonel Truman W. Crawford, USMC, commander and director of the US Marine Drum and Bugle Corps would have loved these Marine musicians.
So good. Miss you guys so much. Keep up the good work.
Jingle Bells? The Stars and Stripes Forever? To hell with it, let’s just do both!
Yeah. Well, cut back you know. Always gotta do more with less.
Such precise marching. A joy to watch.
Thank you 🙏
They are great!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO MARINES
like watching marching parade God bless America 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Like all there song they play
Semper Fi y'all
John, yes, no white gloves in the BD "B" is a band thing. It's very difficult for clarinet players to make a proper seal on their keys with gloves on, so we just forego them as an ensemble. As for the West Coast Composite Band all having to show up for Band Fest, that is no longer sustainable due to government budget cuts. Putting three full Marine bands up in a Sheraton for three nights (approx. 150 members) is not very cost effective, and so that part was dropped.
When I was in the Marine Band and marched in the Rose Bowl we were barracked at Camp Pendleton. Loaded up in what we lovingly called 'cattle cars' and headed to Pasadena. I marched in the parade twice, long wait to step off and parade route was 5 miles at that time not including distance from staging area to start. That was a long time ago,.
Sousa always wore white gloves, but not the band. Stop the clapping! Show some respect for the band and Sousa, and Offenbach.
I can’t even imagine how difficult it was to play that song without going on autopilot 😂
Hehe
Ayyy! They are just down the street from me!
People have got to STOP CLAPPING and show the Marines the RESPECT THEY DESERVE!
Jake Kellogg I think that by clapping they’re just showing the Marines the appreciation they deserve😊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Patriotism is there but these guys can play!
Pues para los pocos que son suena magníficamente bien.
These men deserve the respect of our country. Only thing that I find troubling is all the off tempo clapping, this takes away from the performance on film
MUSICA D LA ESCUELA PRIMARIA LAS CHOAPAS VERACRUZ MEX.
The best T he Marines
No white gloves with Blues "B"? Is that a band thing?
Thanks First-in Last-Out!
White gloves may be worn with dress blues. In other words, they are not required.
@@davidwarner3326 Thanks. I retired in '96. I used to have the whites and a swagger stick. I also had the "dinner dress," I think it was called - white jacket and black bow tie! It is just a little grating to see no gloves. I remember we had to at least carry the gloves. Oh well, time passes.
@@JohnSlider, I was in from '93-'06 so I saw the white coats go away. I think I was taught that you had to carry gloves but looking it up the wording is "may be worn or carried."
@@davidwarner3326 Ah yes, but a superior's request is considered a command, is it not? I had a friend get married in his whites. Everything looked OK, until they got the photos that revealed his blue boxer shorts in every shot! White gloves and tanks, going away...sigh.
Ok who was the one that mixed their music they are confused on whether they should play patriotic music or Christmas tunes hahaha😂😂
SEMPER FI MARINES
Little did they know that 2 years later a draft dodger would be their commander in chief!
Watson and Pahs would have killed that trombone solo.
Whish you
Right now jai hind

The uniform makes them hot only single boys
