As a former Marine and former DCI drum corps member when I was younger,, I'm amazed to see the USMC Drum Corps performing at this level.... Was not always the case... This is going to be a fantastic recruitment tool for the Marines and really puts them on par to be the BEST Military Drumline Bar None...... AWESOME JOB GUYS! Se per Fi! Wow.... Was not expecting that level of playing..... Wow...
+Warren Braswell Thanks bro.... Very true. I meant formerly active, that's a better way of putting it... but yeah i know, I wasn't expecting it either. they are on the right track for sure.
You are never a former Marine. My brother passed away in 2001. He was USMC at Khe Sahn during Tet 1968. I met a gentlemen at a baseball game recently who was wearing a Marine Corps ring. When I spoke of my brother in the "past tense", the gentlemen quickly corrected me and reminded me my brother was still a Marine, just on a permanent TDY in Heaven. Pretty cool, I thought.
+Casey Robertson Top Secret isn't part of any military unit. They're mostly college students, similar to a DCI line. here in the states . Style is pretty basic but you're right, they are impeccably clean.
I have to TOTALLY DISAGREE. The difficulty level of what they are both playing is not even close to comparable. Top Secret is fairly simple to play... It's more high sticking etc... These guys are incredible and playing the latest and greatest of hybrid rudiments along with a great composing. Sorry... I respect your opinion but anyone who knows what's being played will say.... Not even close!
+Blacklist I agree...A college group along the lines of these guys is the USC drumline. They are young and less experienced but there is fusion in the rudimentary style and a good flow occurs.
I got to see them at my high school this year (October) and actually got to learn their cadence and see them play their little feature (with the snare/bass split). Such an incredible group to see!
Excellent ! back in the 60's era the Air Force had a excellent corps, they played 2 ? times at the Kenosha, WI Kingsmen show, 68 ? 69 ? GO Kenosha Kingsmen Go Army
They played a little bit of crazy Army and three camps in their routine nice execution I have one negative comment and it's just my opinion the snare drums sound horrible they sound more like a cardboard box they do not have a real snare drum sound at one point several years ago the snare drums sounded much better. I am a former member of the Long Island sunrises drum and bugle Corps

I never knew the marines were so badass.
not only that ...they are riflemen meaning if the snit hits the fan they pick up a rifle and become even bigger bada$$
Frank Edwards 2 years from now you know.

How is this for balance and blend? Not just a bunch of notes being whacked around, but executed with taste and dignity.
By far the most clean military drumline I have ever heard...well done!

I'd like to hear the Santa Clara Vanguard play with these Marines. That would be great!!
Rob Arell dude yes I would love to see that

I'm actually getting ready to audition for these guys. Can't wait.
did you make it?
Update?
We need updates!
How these guys play a show with this much hype and maintain stoic faces will always amaze me.
as a former drumline member I cant help but admire the beauty of execution each section had. Plus being only a cymbal player I love the flips

Fantástico, Saudações do Brasil tem
3:00 is my favorite part
Clean !
Very first thing they played was Fast Things by Ryan Perez
Better than any WGI drumline show I've ever seen. Was grooving with The Three Camps.
That's incorrect
+Tyrell Wiggems actually it's a completely opinionated statement so he's not wrong, just maybe a little question all in his likes, but they were good
Amazing but did anyone notice how they had pearl drums with Randall May carriers?
I didn't now 8th & I did WGI....
Teşekür
Wish they also did show style
No
As much as I respect show style. This is more of a sport of the art and competition
dwayne johnson HBCU?
Said nobody ever
Three Camps, yes wnd well played!
very underrated
Just now realizing that was Fast Things they played at the beginning 🤦🏾♂️
Wheres EMC?
A year too early I believe.
