Last night, Steven Spielberg was hosted by the Marines as they performed their Friday parade, complete with the Silent Drill Team.

I am ever shall be a Marine active duty October 1973 - October 1993. I have lost count of how many times I have seen the Silent Drill Platoon at 8th & I and some places in the Fleet (FMF) also. I have never seen your channel until today I am now a subscriber that you GySgt USMC Retired

Those Marines make all that fancy handling of the M1 Garand look easy, but it certainly isn't. The rifle itself weighs ten pounds, and was never intended to be a twirling baton.

I felt such pride for our Country watching the Marine’s marching off to their hymn. Known for their Honor, Courage and Commitment. Not sure why Spielberg and his wife were there. Hollywood has really stepped it up and has shown their support to this Administration. 🎉

I had a sibling who went to Valley Forge Military Academy when he was in high school. Brings back memories of this. The cadet students at Valley Forge did these very same kinds of performances with many of these very same songs as well.

Awesome performance! Stephen Spielberg makes me think of his movie ET from back in 1982 for its through ET is when I first heard of Spielberg. Love the movie ET. Enjoyed the Indiana Jones theme song being played by band as well.

I've actually seen them drop a rifle or a bayonet. That's even more stress.

This was Marine Barracks 8th and I Street, SE, in Washington, just about a mile from the US Capitol. The parades are open to the public throughout the Summer.
I hope they are practicing for the tribunals and firing squads.
