I was pensioned off work early, due to ill health, six year ago (Now sorted) at the age of fifty. It was scary but I soon realised that you don't need as much money as you think you do and the freedom it gives is worth much more. I now do a couple of small jobs and work when it suits. You will be fine, just enjoy your time and enjoy each other - well done.

Life is short Paul, better to be out there living life than working in something that's not fun. You have a big channel and get great views and make awesome content. Take it from someone with only 32k subs and I've been a full time youtuber for 3 years.
That’s amazing. I wish I done this 12 months ago but I wasn’t feeling quite so brave. We have children still at school now I feel the time is right to make the leap as we have a little more freedom now the kids of all grown up

Well done. You're an inspiration. I'm 64 and off to the Lakes this week to do my first ever wild camp and I'm as excited as a teenager on a first date. I've watched your videos, gained knowledge and confidence to get out and experience the sense of freedom the hills can give you. Fantastic news Paul. Someone I respect a lot says "if you have a plan B to fall back on, you can never fully commit to plan A." It really comes through how passionate you are and you have inspired so many people, myself included. Personal life has meant I haven't been able to get out in the Phoxx 2 yet, but it's still the plan to get out as soon as life permits.
I do so admire people who battle the odd's, the elements and common sense, but If the good Lord had wanted us to go camping he wouldn't have invented Premier Inn's.

i had health problems and eventually quit a year ago, shouldve done it earlier. i'm 56 i bought a tent and stuff, ive bought a ticket to england for 6 months, all because of people like you. glad to see youre the real deal. itll all work out well done

The only thing I couldn’t handle is that smallish tent. Being of, what people might call, ample girth I’m afraid I’d never get into it let alone get out in a hurry when nature calls. At my age that’s quite often! 😂😂😂😂

keep at it paul you will make it, i used to watch a youtuber called terry abraham, all of a sudden he stopped uploading, next thing ive seen his name in the credits of certain programms on tv, he only did videos of his camping etc, your vids are a lot better and you do reviews etc, my point is he made it so you can, just keep at it mate, your probably the biggest name in this game 👍

Inspiration to us all grinding away a job we don't like. Constantly making me wonder what if I pursued something similar. At 31, i don't have the minerals, but keep going mate. Well inspired. Jamie, UK, Lake district.
Always time to make a change mate. I'm 34 and changed my career last year to something I really enjoy and have no regrets. It's scary but you only get one shot.
