I found the comics back in high school somewhere between 2012-2014, they were always very special to me, being a depressed teenager at the time lol.
I tried my best to put them all together chronologically with their original captions.
Notes:
0:49, 1:00, 4:08, 4:31 hiragana reads "hikikomori" (ひきこもり) which translates to "a shut in or someone who has withdrawn from society".
2:43 "i'm coming, mama"
2:51 First introduction to Tako-chan. Hiragana translates to "not yet" (ま だ ま だ). Her name, Tako, translates to "Octopus"

@Helva true, but to an extent omori was dependant of sunny (and thus went rogue to try and fulfill his goal of keeping memory lane locked) whereas early omori doesn't seem to have a specific purpose or even a 'creator' to depend on; he doesn't even seem to know what's exactly going on himself

The battle is pretty clearly supposed to be a lot more figurative than literal.

In the original story omori was older... so this comics were canon with the original story, but now they are not canon anymore because Omocat changed the story

@@ramen7700 i would say Omori is 14/15, Dream Hero is the oldest so he must is 17/18. i think Omori is the 3º older one, Dream Mari would probably be 16, Dream Kel would be 12/13 and Dream Aubrey would be 9/10.

Was Aubrey meant to be a particularly important person to Omori/Sunny at one point? The first trailer with “My Time” seemed to convey that (her leaning against him), as well as that comic of Sunny trying to reach out for Aubrey’s hair. At some point, Basil became a more major character to Sunny and vice versa.
Don’t know what you mean, Aubrey leans onto Omori when you decide to look at the moon in Otherworld. Also, she is always crushing on him in headspace not in the real world though
@@issacblevins42 in one of Sunny’s memories when your going down memory lane, if you talk to Basil, Sunny says he has a crush on her (I think). So that would explain why in his headspace he has her crushing on him.

I don’t care that she wasn’t a one dimensional love interest, but it’s interesting to me Basil’s presence is more largely felt in promotional material and the work itself than Aubrey, contrary to what early materials conveyed.
these are so distinct from the game, as if the story of the game wasn't the original idea but still a great one. this sounds interesting too tho

omocat actually made the game based off of this/ it like evolved into it. I think they originally wanted it to be a manga

It was the original story of Omori, the comics were deleted because Omocat changed the story
He was originally older in the og story, so that explains why there was the hub on his computer, but it’s not cannon anymore since the story was changed and he’s younger, so it’s not that bad as it seems.

For me it maybe shows the things Omori had been doing in Whitespace before the game started. It’s maybe not fully canon anymore, but I believe it would still make sense in the Omori game we now have.
omori is a lot older in these comics than in the game though
Perhaps this could be Omori after they moved to a new house, Sunny no longer sees anything that relate to Mari in the new house so Omori doesn't really have to protect Sunny from the bad memories as much as before. Later, Omori gets bored going to headspace and spends more and more time in whitespace and grows older.

I don't think we can confirm or deny his age (imo, he drinks so I think it's safe to assume he's an adult). Omocat was a minor when she made these, I (also a teen at the time) also had equally weird art on my own tumblr in the early 2010s and so did a lot of other people. It's good now people can recognize that some of these situations and captions are concerning. I think Omo also recognizes this as she changed captions and deleted some of these posts as she got older.

The artstyle reminded me of vewn's, y'know, the person who made kittykat96 and dead end? Those two animations really remind me of Omori. The kid's entire personality and how the girl became one with her alter ego instead of it killing her or her deleting it.
