This actually made me cry. That’s no easy feat. I’ve always tried to bottle up my sadness, my anger, my fear..... Pretty much anything that wasn’t happiness. I rarely ever cry naturally. But i always want to. So bad. So bad it hurts. And this song.... Just took me back. I may not have grown up on the n64, ps1, or anything of the sort, but... The composition of this song... Truly felt like a lullaby. A lullaby that takes me back To when i was being sung lullaby’s. Back when my family was happy. Not just “smiling and laughing at the dinner table” happy... but truly happy inside. I haven’t seen that in years. I don’t wanna go back. I just want life to go on as it did back then. Again, i don’t cry a whole lot. Only songs like “baby mine” and “stressed out” ever made me shed a tear. But this song.... It opened a gate that needed to be opened. I think i’ve been crying for an hour or so. Never in my life have i cried so much... I’ve been hurting. Not for a long time. Which just makes it more painful. Trying to make everyone happy again. So I can be happy again. But this song..... Thank you, koji kondo. You helped me more than you could ever know With this one masterpiece. Thank you. So much.

When I listen to this, I remember me playing SM64 when I was 6, and the lullaby was and still is my favorite song. Really brings back memories of where I actually had fun doing things and didn’t have to worry much about life. Thanks for this.
