Today, I take a look at Video Game Reseller Hova Flips to see what type of scams and ripoffs he can pull on seniors and desperate garage sale patrons in his community.
Recording people without their awareness and then acting as if he is buying the game with the intent to play it rather than selling it is taking the sleazy reseller thing to a new level of shady. Also, I'm now considering giving a bucket of video games to my grandparents as a future Christmas gift. 😆
Hova Flips used to be part of a TH-cam group called The Crew back in the early 2010s. He played games like Black Ops 2 and GTA 5 with some other TH-camrs in the Crew, including KYRSP33DY, Deluxe 4, Sidearms, and a few others with videos that would get millions. Their popularity waned once their audience got older, like myself. He was a really funny guy in the Crew, so it's sad to see him stoop to video game flipping in such a deceptive way for profit.
I have never heard of him before but this makes me not wanna support him omg. I can’t believe he lied to this woman’s face! I would definitely ask to film and I don’t like how he’s filming people without permission on their property. And the camera is crap. I feel all resellers film everything. As much as it’s cool I feel it’s not right to film sometimes. I don’t like this guy now
12:30 Oh goody, he also resells anime. Right there, Hell Girl, that series despite being very popular online sold poorly for FUNimation to the point they didn't license the sequels and Sentai Filmworks years later released the sequels sub-only. After the licenses expired because FUNimation let Hell Girl expire because of how poorly it did and Sentai Filmworks couldn't renew the license because Aniplex Japan wouldn't allow them, that series is now quite expensive. On eBay, they're listing Hell Girl for $140. He probably wishes he had the artbox that houses all the volumes so he could sell it for more than $200.
That's upsetting to hear. Same thing happened with Gundam Wing. Most of the time you can only find bootlegs and they're jacked up too like what the heck lol
@@steviefreakinc Gundam Wing shouldn't be scalped unless it's the DVDs which are OOP as sales for anime DVDs declined so much everything is now Blu-ray-only and nearly all DVDs were discontinued. It was released on Blu-ray here like 6 years ago and it's still in-print, though the Collector's Edition sold out within like a year after release. Gundam Wing sold like crazy on DVD for Bandai Entertainment, it was one of their top 5 best-selling titles, so those DVDs shouldn't be expensive given how many they printed.

Update on my silent hill collection I've got 6 copies of SH1 on ps1 11 copies of SH2 ps2 all up it's cost me just over 1000 to accumulate Next year they'll be put into recirculation at 29.99 each to worthy buyers, I just need time to recoup my spendings
Got a story for you Steve: I went to a garage sale today and arrived exactly at the start time. It was already picked clean. The homeowner told me there were multiple people waiting and it was overwhelming as they hadn't even started yet. Early birds made the homeowner uncomfortable and cleaned the place out before the start time. I walked up to a picked over garage because I played the rules. Thanks vultures! They're total scum.
@@steviefreakinc Sadly it happens all the time. I've seen some ads explicitly state "no early birds" and the worst part is that some people have no courtesy. I think one of the major issue with resellers is the cold, callous, calculating aspect of it. A fun toy/hobby is turned into a commodity. This Hova guy especially reeks of it. Pestering people, arriving early, lowballing. Then he even has the gall to say he's in the midwest where people are poor. 12:54 he arrives early and is already cutting "deals" for stuff. They should have said "no, buzz off, we just opened." The lady wanted $160 and yet his predatory nature ensures she doesn't get it, even though it's worth more. This guy makes Phoenix Resale look like a saint.
@@steviefreakinc It really was. I think Hova is the worst by far. I watched The Retro World's and KodywithaK's latest video in comparison and it's a night and day difference. When they arrive early they're not trying to cut deals right away. They're also both a lot more pleasant about it. Not to mention their videos don't make you motion sick. Hova blows.
Pay attention to how some of these resellers go “I can do 50” their word choice strips power from the owners and make the reseller in control of the sale and conversation. I despise these type of dudes so much lol.
I hate resellers i never take a thing from them. But econony law is that if a 512kb 30yo game that can be emulated in even in a calculator cost 1k is because people are up to pay that more or less So what is the problem we could create an association and even if we reach it noone will buy their old shit they will lower the price and some giuda betray us and buy it and the price will rise again.
I live for these vids with my first coffee of the day after I wake up. Although half the time it makes me want to cough it back out mid sip when I can't believe my eyes .. It's like I'm hooked on getting riled up by these guys

Look up this guy the pro picker he’s got a video “fight at yard sale” or something like that and him and this other reseller are fighting over N64 games like hyenas and the pro picker guy was totally in the wrong…..if I was ever at a yard sale looking at games and some resellers came up and just started hovering over me and grabbing games and getting all up in my personal space and being just all around rude and outta line I would freak the fuck out! I recommend after you post a comment, try to see it it appears via incognito, if not, delete and post the comment again but with different wording. My comment on this video disappeared multiple times until I posted it the way it is now.
