Absolutely love your enthusiasm for the VAX 121; I have 2 of them myself (1 was my Nans with the original 900w motor and the other was my mums with the newer 1,000w motor). Sadly they’re both showing their age and need refurbishing BUT I just can’t part with them for love nor money 🥰

A small amount of thin oil will get into the bearings enough to quieten it down a bit, but their sealed bearings so not easy to pop the caps off and do it properly
Hi. Thanks for such an informative video. In your video, you initially said you would remove the suppressor, but then you simply replaced it. My question is, if I were to remove the suppressor from my Vax 121 because it keeps tripping the electrics in my home, what do I do with the blue and black wires that go into and out of the suppressor? The blue wires go to and from the switch, and the black wires seem to go to and from the motor. Do I need to somehow rejoin them, and if so, how?
The wiring would stay the same as I had it, you just wouldn't fit a new surpressor in line with the wires. The old surpressor worked differently so hid all the wires but connect a blue to a black then do the other pair and it will run

Am I right in saying it's 37 years old I think Sam 🤔 maths isn't my forte!had lots of 121s and figured them difficult to diagnose motor problems due to silly complex layout lol Enjoyed the old how to though!
