Aw, man! Why couldn't they keep some of these levels in the final game? That *_Tetris_* part would have been pretty cool!
Wish they could've kept the "Tetris" reference at 1:15 still in the game.

Yeah, exactly what older generation games used to be. No complicated crap, no rip-offs such as online passes and DLC. Just split screen with your bro or sis, after school or over the holidays and just let the time pass by. Oh, I love being a 90's kid!

I'm getting this game! I love flash animation, love the zany french cartoon style,the OST sounds great, and platforming levels look very fun. there arent too many games today that are look this.
of all the great games that came in recent years, nothing quite tops the fun of Rayman Origins. It's a game you have to play to understand just how great fun it is.
@misterneckbreaker88 does this game have boss fights and a real continuous story then ? please reply because I consider buying it ;o

I was wondering this too.... maybe because player two was new at this and it could go wrong
@TheZ811 Yeah I love it that they have a couple references to classic games such as Tetris and all that, it really gives the game an oldschool feeling.
I'm trying to decide what console to buy this for.... for the wii is it played with just the wii remote sideways like New super mario bros wii or do you need a nunchuck?

I love Michel Ancel's charisma! In every interview I saw him doing for this game, he always seemed like he was barely able to contain himself; he was just so excited to be working on this game. I just beat it today, and have to give him credit; he deserved to be excited. It's an amazing game. Ancel had a truly unique and beautiful vision and followed through with it. This game is incredible, and was seriously overlooked. I loved Skyrim and BF3, but this trumped everything else I played this year
correct me if im wrong, i finished this game some time ago and i dont think these levels were included. no tetris blocks, no level cutscenes, or chasing that treasure chest through many levels (?)

oh well i tried it but its laggy as hell and after some point it just crashes. + the graphics could be slightly adjusted (same sprites, more pixels)

On the demo thats out now on XBLA and PSN, i unlocked the secret outfit for getting all 9 electoons. Apparently this outfit is meant to go towards my full game once i've got it but how? Will it just save the outfit? Someone please let me know.

@arthurpprado Basically went back to what it was in the beginning: such as Megaman 9's 8-bit graphics, Sonic Generation's Green Hill and this game's colorful, lagomorph-less environment.
The texture artists on this game are amazing!!!!!!!!!

Its nice how the developers keep coming with new ideas for new Rayman games. The first Rayman had great graphics and music for a platform 2D game of its time. R2 was their attempt at making it 3D. Then R3 came with a scoring system. Then Rayman M came with multiplayer. Then came Rabbids to make a more competitive multiplayer with scoring. Then they went back to make origins which is something like the first Rayman but with multiplayer.

It looks like there're mixing the gameplay style of the first game with the characters of the second and third game, whilst improving and enchancing the envirnoments and gameplay, I think it looks quite cool, I jsut hope its not too easy or short.

when i was a kid, i played this all the time. Iwas the best at this game, probably because i was adicted to it and when i tried to play red faction with my older brothers i sucked, but when i played rayman with them i destroyed them. It almost brings tears to my eyes seeing it come back again. It brings back good memories.

@surmixxa No, because it's a co-op that allows you to interact, jump on you allies to reach higher zones, help each other to go on, when you die you turn into a bubble your mate has to hit to bring you back to life.....and what's that big coin in a difficultly reachable area?
They didn't even care to change the shape of it.
So sorry if all this at least reminds me of Mario Bros Wii....

@psx2514 You do not use the Nunchuck for this game. You just need the Wii remote, and of course you need to hold it sideways. The movement is some of the best in the genre for this console, although it isn't exactly New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
But don't worry you'll get used to it quicker than you'd expect.
I'd also recommend Donkey Kong Country Returns, it is also a great game, but trust me, at some points it can be very challenging, sort of like the SNES DKC games. Have fun and Merry Christmas!
