As the Imperial Council proceeds, Askeladd is shocked by the news of Wales. As he gets called by the king, he makes a last stand.
Askeladd lived as a cruel and cold-hearted Viking, and as the man who killed Thorfinn's father, but in the end, he died as a hero who protected his homeland and as another father figure to Thorfinn.
That's bs. He died as a villian. Redemption doesn't work like that.He used a child for his cruel activities.
@@cringekiller348 He is a hero to the people of Wales. And SPOILER Thorfinn continues to look up to him and considers him a father figure. Maybe redemption doesn't work like that TO YOU.
and the episode title: End of Prologue. the masterpiece we deserve! The last time Thorfinn let go of his father's keepsake knife, I thought it symbolized the end of his quest for revenge. Also when Askeladd says "son of Thors" I believe its the first time he acknowledge him being son of Thors. Usually he would play it off, and not be considerate of Thorfinn until that moment.

In his dying breathe...Askeladd could have told.Thorfinn that he was hired by Floki(who was in the same room as.they are.) to kill Thors..But chose not to...He doesn't want Thorfinn to be stuck in a hell called revenge...It's wasted potential cause Askellad respected Thors alot.

Lets just Say that there would be 2 new characters that would "reemplace" Askeladd in season 2. Jajaja I say the same after ending this, how this show is going to be good without him
