If Starmer wants to build any kind of alliance with President Trump the first thing he has to do is fire Lammy and formally apologize for the racist and derogatory comments. There's no way that Trump will be able to work with the Brits if they allow racists as leaders. Starmer will need to purge his cabinet of those who have made anti-Trump comments.
For the sake of Ukraine, Democracy and humankind survival, I hope the American voters make the right choice. Too many nuclear armed nations are in conflict at present and all of the International institutions and agencies who could provide International Justice, Law and Order, have been found to be impotent and unable to enforce anything. David Lammy's description of Donald Trump is broadly accurate. Its not the most diplomatic thing to say, however Donald Trump has not shown himself to be a diplomatic person.
