Yasss TXT 0x1=Love Song is a masterpiece. They also have a live band version of this which they performed in Yu Huiyeol's sketchbook.
Not to discredit the ones in the chat that this song was not about a partner. For me it may very well be. Because the whole concept of the album is about a coming of age story, growing up, conflicts, struggles, falling in love, etc. The next album that comes after this talks about breakup and the five stages of grief. So yes it could be about a romantic partner. These boys are grown up, they could talk about stuff like this 😊
0x1=lovesong was created long before "the astronaut" by jin so the astronaut in the m/v had nothing to do with that if youre wondering. TXT also has an entire world and all of their mvs are connected to each other to create one big story starting from their song "nap of a star" back in 2019. because of that i truly doubt bts and txts story line have to do with each other in a big way

BU & TU are parallel in some kind of way as it's to do with youth, rebellion, conflict, love & loss...each of their albums have themes, which all seem to be connected...they also have a webtoon which is based on the boys having magical abilities to fight against evil.
They are under the independent label BigHit Music along with BTS and debuted in 2019.

I know that this song and Lo$erxLover have a particular story to tell when put together. Lo$erxLover then Lovesong in that order.

Also, it's sometimes hard to notice the parents fighting in the background at the beginning.
Actually there's a theory that yeonjun(black hair boy/also the one who wakes up from sleep in the end) is the only real person and the other 4 members are his imaginary friends bc in the car there's no reflection of them in the mirror there's only yeonjun and in the scene where they are walking you can only hear one person's footsteps.
He made his own freinds and escaped with them bc his parents were fighting.
It is so detailed and beautiful but also sad. I love this mv.
Txt has kind of chapters that explain certain stages of growing up - the 1st one was about friendship (albums Star, Magic, Eternity + Minisode: Blue Hour), 2nd one (chaos chapter: freeze and Fight or Escape) + minisode 2: Thursday's Child are about love (mostly romantic one). Then the name chapter that just started is about self discovery. In a way you can tell that in the 1st one they try to find themselves through friends, 2nd one through lover and the 3rd one is who they truly are without the "outside" influence.

My interpretation: To teenagers, romantic relationships seem like the only thing that really matters or bring them happiness in the world, especially to those who date as an escape from a harsh family life. But in truth, this pursuit for 'love' does nothing to fill up the hole inside of them. Hence, this love song is 0 or 'meaningless.'
On a deeper interpretation; running away from home, dating, stealing your parents' house, setting it on fire... they all act as forms of 'rebellion' which kids generally do to feel free. But the freedom that they gain is merely superficial, just like how the sky where birds are supposed to fly has a fish instead which indicates that they're still submerged under water and suffocating instead of feeling free.
'I know it's real, I can feel it.'
'Use me like a drug.'
'Say you love me, say you love me.'
'I know I love you.'
^^They look like your usual love song lyrics at first glance, but to me it just sounds desperate, as if the speaker is trynna convince himself that he loves the person and that the person loves him. I'm not saying that all romantic relationships are fake, but generations of youth and young adults nowadays and before have a tendency to date for the sake of dating, calling things love without looking deeper.

'Girl I need you.'
^^The speaker feels comforted by being in a relationship. But right after this it goes back to the sad chorus that indicated the hole wasn't actually filled properly. Youths feel a 'need' to be in one relationship after another but they end up in a cycle of emptiness.
'I'm a loser in this game.' + the loser-lover writing on Taehyun's cast.
'Take me back to your hometown.'
^^Loser-lover and the hometown line references Stephen King's IT.
Loser-lover: symbolizes how real love and friendship can bring warmth and cure to a world full of suffering and oppression (bullying, family issues); [this is referencing the IT 1 movie btw]
Take me back to your hometown: IT chapter 2, basically saying 'make me remember again my childhood' or 'take me back to those times when friendships were real and sincere.'
'I'm full of problems, love sick.'
'I won't be able to get into heaven, I don't belong there.'
^Possible reference to Narnia and Peter Pan (Narnia and Neverland can be interpreted to be heaven), where as children grow up, their innocence is lost and they become 'tainted' by life in some way. They become insincere, and it reflects in how they present themselves, choose friends, form relationships following the whims of society. At the same time, lack of self-esteem make them feel underserving of happiness.
To summarize:
People tend to chase after romance, relationships, and rebellion as a form of escapism, but those things often lack substance. It applies not just to teenagers but also current adults who probably recognizes that most of their relationships feel 'fake.' We can see this in the last scene where Yeonjun wakes up to see that his friends are not there and the car was never burnt... i.e. the friendships were fake and the rebellion was meaningless.
What we could do instead is to face directly the problems that created the hole inside of us (e.g. family problems), and this realization is just a part of growing up, questioning what love is, and becoming true to yourself. :)
Edit: forgot to mention that Yeonjun's weird little dance at the intermezzo was a reference to the movie Days of Being Wild which is about finding love.
Lo$er=Lo❤er is related I think but I love Magic. It is so enjoyable to listen to 💜

TXT My 2 favorite songs are GBGB and Frost! After GBGB got tired of listening to it, I watched the special edition MV of Frost, because the dance moves of the Korean group are so perfect, so instead I watch the stage and rarely watch the MV😂 except for Ateez Halazia Epic MV.
Frost's dance is very strong, the voices of the double lead singers in the chorus are very similar, I love the tearing power of the lead singer's treble, the second chorus is sung by the youngest kai, I thought it was the lead singer if I didn't look at the screen, the imitation is too much Like, I have listened to these two passages many times. TXT's song, I like this song the most, I listen to it the most times, I didn't expect it to be the least popular TXT song on this channel 😭
The 4th generation boy group's relationship is interesting. The boss of TXT is a classmate of ATEEZ San, the two have a good relationship and have performed together, the performance of the boss is crushing the whole TXT , so many people say that the boss should join Ateez😂

BU = BTS Universe, TU = TXT Universe. Both groups have a whole fictional storyline that runs throughout their music videos, and it gets DEEP! Not ALL MVs are a part of the storyline,but you will know which MVs are a part of the Universe as in the description it’ll mention BU/TU. This is the most basic explanation I can give without going into crazy detail. Hope this helps! Welcome to the ARMY!
I’m not very well versed in the TU myself but I have gone through the whole ins and outs of the BU and it’s gonna be rlly fun once you get into it so I’m excited for you🥳 again I’m not entirely sure where it starts for the TU (though I did watch Eternally which was like this 20 minute video and it was rlly good but I could tell it was like the middle of the story) however as far as the BU goes it all starts with I Need u and from there you can watch the prologue and then Run and it just goes on and on rlly so you should probably look up a playlist on TH-cam that has all of the BU in order bc I’m pretty sure I’ve seen one somewhere on here. But anyways, hope that helps good luck on your BU and TU journey cause it’s gonna be wild😭

I wish I had looked up one of those compilation videos with all the BU videos in order when I first started because I had no idea what I was doing and missed out on the Japanese version MVs which also have a lot to do with the BU…but I never knew! Again. Brava to Hybe for upgrading the level of songs they are providing to TXT. Fun and very creative choreography. And BTS quality video production. TXT is moving up. Suga interviewed 2 of them on his interview show. Then took 1 to show him his music studio. The other one was unlucky. Suga gave him too much alcohol and he fell over drunk. Not kidding. Suga doesn't realize not everyone can handle as much liquor as he can.
I didn't like them at first. But somehow Big Hit upgraded the songs they provided for them. And excellent choreography.
And created quality BTS level MV's. They are very talented.
